What is retannered is forgetting th ultimate goal.

Any half competent idiot could take our roster from a year ago, add McDavid and Puljuju and make the playoffs. The goal is a cup. Not to become the St Louis Blues or Caps or Sharks...good but never great teams.

PC has us going down the road of being a mid tier team that is good for a long time but never great and never close to a cup. Just because we've been out of the playoffs for a while doesn't mean you change the end goal. Some of you here are so starved for playoffs you forget the real purpose. And PC has us gunning for playoffs and not a cup. That's a big big problem.

My god, this is such a tired argument. We've been over this countless times and I have yet to get a response; how is the team as it is now any worse off in the chase of the Cup? Oh any monkey couldve gotten the team to the playoffs? As (frank)ing if, but feel free to believe that. Or that moving Hall magically negates any chance this roster had at a Cup.

I'm so done with this and the (frank)ing mongoloids who keep bringing it up. Can we all just (frank) off?

God I'm too hungover for this donkey semen...

I prefer "[Y]ou booze; you peruse (the finest details on the female form)". Doesn't roll of the tongue as nicely, but far more applicable

I liked Hall a lot. He was exciting to watch. But at times his play would drive me nuts. I couldn't even begin to count the number of times I've seen him skate as fast as he could with the puck right at the defenseman only to give the puck over, and then sulk like a little kid coming back to our own zone. He was a whiny female dog quite a few times. Hell of a hockey player but a bit of a douchebag. One thing is forsure. We needed a 1st pairing dman to be a competitive team. We have Larsson now. End of story. We are a lot closer to contending for a cup with him than we were with Hall.

One time I met him at a bar... I asked him for $10,000 and I wanted to crash at his place for a month or two... I don't know if you guys believe this or not, but he said no... Can you believe that? What a (frank)ing acehole.

I wasn't going to mention this, but does anyone remember that clip where Hall, RNH and Eberle visited the puppies?

I worked as a security guard for that organization. My one and only job was to review overnight footage.

At about 3am, Hall broke into our building and he punched/kicked every dog that appeared in the clip...

Here's the original clip that appeared on TSN... https://youtu.be/RSGyhgUWPok

Surely one as wise and pure of heart as yourself has little need of the female form. I'd have thought that you would shun them all together in your search for enlightenment.

Our defense is a mess, I didn't understand allowing Schlemko to walk. He was one of the few defenders able to inject some offense, especially on the PP.

As it stands right now, one of Santini, Auvitu or Gormley is likely going to be in the top 6.

Have to think a few PTOs will be handed out before camp.

- Mr.Bobby

Yeah, the NJ devils situation defensively is, as you described it, a mess.

Trading Larsson and letting Schlemko walk, along with no replacements for either (Other than Lovejoy who I think will be good for NJ's pk units) will harm the defensive structure in place in NJ's style of play.

The big x factor defensively is going to be Severson no matter what. He will most likely be the player that will replace Larsson's casual spot with Greene. The question is, is he ready to be bombarded with defensive zone starts on a regular basis? Can he adapt to such a change?

Hall will greatly boost NJ's offensive implementation and be the face of the franchise (which he deserves, especially with the poop he had to go through with Edmonton).

But... don't forget that you need defense to clear out your own zone before you can even think about going on the offense. Look at Edmonton for crying out loud. They have had so much offensive talent for the past 5 years but it never amounted to anything. Why? Because our defense sucked. mediocre defense + amazing offense = don't even think about trying to get into the playoffs.

Jersey's D isn't optimal, but they're forwards play a pretty responsible game. Couple that with the great equalizer that is Schneider and I think things go better than most expect.

Until Hall kills Henriques dog. Then poop will go south.

Only thing that though is that Schneider will once AGAIN have to play insanely good hockey if NJ would want to make the playoffs.

But to be fair, 12 shots of vodka in a row will definitely give anybody a bad hangover, unless you are superhuman.

Thats exactly what good players do.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Jersey snag a wild card spot.
