Its becoming apparent that many readers of this site are living in a republicanesque bubble because absolutely nothing in this post is all that different from what thousands of people who use stats to back up their ideas think.
- James_Tanner

You're the one in the bubble. You are so far from reality with your opinions; there is far more debating against solely you and not with each other. This isn't sharing, debating, and developing ideas.

It's just you failing at justifying what ever asinine claim you have every few days. You throw out some rhetoric and ignore that everyone in the comments think you're ass backwards.

Hate to pull a "Shyamalan" on you, but you've been the one in the "republicanesque bubble" this whole time.

It's far more likely that I'm just so far ahead of the curve. I'm glad it gives you a laugh, because believe me, me and my friends love to read and laugh at comments like this just as much. The only difference is that I don't base my thoughts on group think and use actual data to develop what I think and back it up.
- James_Tanner

So, are you using up to date data on your thoughts on Yakupov ?

This blog is not so hot Jimmy. Shoulda went with my, 'Coyotes most progressive team in history of league', idea. It will only cost you 25% of your click revenue.

Seriously tho, still not even a simple shout out or congratulations to Dawn Braid? Pretty weak man. Especially when it is legitimate Yotes news and you choose to bash players and management of other teams instead.

wow, i was expecting some bold predictions here holy hell.

Edmonton with a healthy McD will make it.

I thing cgy and win are on the rise but might not be there next year, the problem is that these older teams arent ready to fall out yet, which should make for some nice competition. chicago will make the playoffs. anaheim will make the playoffs. LA is the team on yiur bold fallout predictions that might actually happen

Sekera won't fight it out for anything. If Klefbom and Larsson are a pairing, Sekera is a perfect #3. With all the Central teams either standing pat or getting worse, the Jets could very easily win the division. At the same time, with a team this young they could finish last just as easily.

As a person that watches most Oil games: they're likely picking around 9th overall next draft in my opinion.

They're still a mess of a team. A lack of depth on defense and an ongoing issue with backchecking from their top two RW are two major reasons they're dead in the water every year by January.

Even Chia admits Larsson is a potential #2 further down the line. The team has no legitimate 1st pair and just traded their top scorer.

All that said, there were signs of progress last year. They move Yak before the season starts and they'll progress faster.

HAHAHA you sound like Trump. You probably have all of the best stats and know the stats better than anyone. Everyone you know agrees you know and have the best stats and you are clearly the best at HockeyBuzz. It probably takes longer for you to type your articles because you have great big hands.

No 1st pairing? I humbly direct thine eyes to Oscar "Fist(frank)er" Klefbom.

I dont mind the occasional troll blog but this was just garf level today. Rinne the worst starting goalie? Based on a stat that includes very opinionated methods of data collecting. Detroit with almost the same team minus datsyuk for 50 games the last place team? Mrazek was a top 10 goalie in the league but fell off the last few weeks of the season. Runblad seriously? He can barely make a zone exit being surrounded by some of the best players in the league. This blog was bad even by your standards.

You're lying. Nobody is that stupid.

It's absolutely undeniably impossible for a normally functioning human brain to observe David Rundblad playing hockey and determine him to be great, or even above average for that matter. It can't happen/would never happen. So, therefor, admit you're lying and lets move on....

This is unless of course you've never actually watched him play. Which, call me crazy, might actually help.

Do you envision him as a first pairing defenseman on a team that makes the playoffs?

Just my opinion, but to me it seems he's still developing into that role. Would still put him down as a #3 on a team with playoff-worthy depth.

Seriously I could be the hawks 6th defenseman. Play 5 minutes a night and make 10ft breakout passes to hossa kane toews panarin. Some how rundblad cant even do that!

Wow! Your complete and utter incompetence in analyzing this sport is just as shocking to me every time I bother to read one of your horrible blogs. You just really have no clue what you're talking about in any regard and go on like you're some expert. I have no clue how you are even employed. Please just stop.

Tanner is a shill looking for hits, we've known it for a while and we keep posting because truthfully, at least it's interesting and has some content. Most blogs on here are little more than two sentences or an update on an AHLer getting signed to a two way.

We all know his list is bs, we all know the guy is closer to an NHL fringe/depth than a legit top 4, and anyone who has been on HB for any time comes, looks, laughs and pops a post in such as we do a dollar for a busker with a flute and move on.

- jackzack87

Interesting is very debatable. Once youre aware of the shtick he becomes very boring very fast. Hes the Alex Jones of hockeybuzz, hitting us all with truth bombs our inferior brains just cant handle!

They are morons out there who use math to prove the earth is flat. It seems compelling at first glance, but we all know the earth is round and Jake Gardiner is an average dman.

Fair when you factor in sample size, but in the 30 games he played last year as well as the latter 30 the year before, the guy has looked like and posted numbers like (both traditional and possession) a top pairing Dman. Check out his HERO chart, his WOWY numbers, his raw Corsi and Fenwick, and his regular stat line on a fairly poopty team (prorated offense clocks around 35 in 82 sans consistent PP time). Interesting point of note; his even strength offense per 60 was top-5 in the league.

I'd send you the links directly but I'm on my phone. My only concern is what impact the infection he has last year will have on his skating.

Seriously, Chia must be a Trojan horse for the NHL. Having McDavid out shadowing Hall on the same team isn't good for business. Edmonton will have fans no matter what, NJ needs an exciting player to have fans. Think about it.

He's either an NHL trojan horse, or hes so incompetent that he made the worst trade of the decade.

Just food for thought. Haven't seen it posted here before.

Remember, ultimately, the NHL is a for profit business.

That's pretty fair. I've stuck to the eye test and am willing to admit the Oil look a lot more legitimate with him in the lineup. Tough to take samples on last year because it was musical chairs with the LTIR list.

Given his injury history and stage in his career, I'd still put him in the margins between 2-3. All just opinion though. We'll have a better idea of where he stands if he gets +60 games next year.

Edit: just for discussions sake: where do you think the Oil finish next year? I think 21st is reasonable.

Haha "so ahead of the curve." See folks, he really is pompous. As for your "friends" laughing at the comments..that's really ok because apparently they know just as little about the game as you do. If they were real and honest friends (or smart for that matter) they would fill you in on the fact that your delusional. Why do you even bother making articles on this site? Do you not see that us, the readers, think it's trash?

You're like Mike Milburys special needs son..
