While I will agree that Lu was the best goalie to wear a Canuck jersey I don't see him in the ring of honour. He fought hard for this team game after game but ultimately his heart was always in Florida. I think his time there trumps ours.

Some friendly advise... let it go.

You can have your number retired in multiple cities.

And yes, I still have my Luongo Jersey and need a reason to wear it!

He, he would be injured.... I mean, eventually they all all. Clarkson, Pronger for example. Who is to say what constitutes a long term injury for a 38 year old goalie?
- Beatle_john

Vaginitis. Legit long injury for sure.

While my Lou-love is true-love and my heart will go on and yadda yadda yadda...

I am more interested in not losing 800,000 dollars for what seems like 800,000 years.

That peanut pretty much sums up the difference between Sbisa's contract and Hamhuis'. Thats a tough one to think about.

I can't wait to put someone in a ring of honour that says my contract sucks. Maybe we can put Ron Maclean there too .

Is what Lu said much different than Bure wanting out?

I liked your question on the last blog about which Flame player will exceed expectations

It should have been multiple choice and C could be none of the above

- VANTEL

If it's going by your expectations I don't see how they all can't exceed that

Expectation wise I can see Elliott stealing around 4-6 games for the Flames this year…will it be enough for the WC? Tough call. Elliott needs to prove he is more than a glorified back-up which he very well may do.

Flames first two lines are great and that D is stellar…but man if Treliving doesn't get that 3-4 line scoring sewn up soon could be another bottom 10 for Calgary.

I for one would love to see the battle of Alberta in the PO's again…If EDM gets another Dman of quality they will be in this year…Calgary needs to make more than a few bold moves to get to the WC.

Even if he just showed up and played goal in Boston ...for one game ...

He stole a few in the Hawks series though

But why is Ohlund there then? He refused a trade at the deadline and we lost him for nothing. Does not sound like too far of a story from players wanting out.

That's his prerogative to finish out the contract he & the team signed. I have zero problems with that.
