It would complete the team dynamic change. I don't see Hutton as a #1 also too much youth on the back end. - thundachunk

We all are. Problem is, Edler doesn't want to go anywhere. |

My predictions
Subban and his feelings make the team
Abols beats Gaunce out of a job and Don will buy his Dessert Knights Gaunce jersey.
Edler and Gaunce get packaged and traded.
Lockwood and Stecher get called up at TDL
Miller injured gone for 20 games.
Sutter scores 18 but fans will complain that he didn't get 20
Hansen scores 24 . - VANTEL
Bold predictions.
1 - I for one would love to see Subban step up and say "I am here" like Hutton did last year.
2 - Gaunce looked pretty good early last year. Can't see him laying down and letting Abols pass him on the depth chart. Rodin maybe?
3 - If Larson steps up on the PP Edler becomes movable but will he waive? Hutton is not ready to QB PP1 so Edler might not be a great option but the only one at present.
4 - I feel there will be more than Stetcher and Lockwood for call ups at TDL.
5 - Agree Miller will be injured for well over 20 games and Markstrom will be no 1 by seasons end. Pretty much take it to the bank.
6 - Bad luck for Sutter with injuries last year. If healthy for a full year he will eclipse 20 goals.
7 - Now that Hansen is thankfully off the Sedin line we can use his excellent versatility through lines 2-4. But Hansen will drop down to reality with 15-18 goals which is just fine for a quality utility guy.
I have a feeling Burrows is going to show up for camp and surprise a few people. Still very useful for the 3-4 lines when injuries arrive…and they will. |

Edler really isn't handcuffing anything nor is he hurting the team. Others maybe but just because he doesn't want to leave isn't a bid deal. He signed the contract he is playing. Big whoop. |

Hutton definitely is not a top line guy even though he did play top line at times last year.
I think Juolevi would be top 4. Not this year maybe not next year or the year after but all indications is he will be.
You can get Tryamkin Sbisa Hutton to keep the seat warm until Juolevi arrives. It would mean a year or two of scrambling. |

I know there has been some talk of Edler on Twitter. I have no idea of how much of that is true.
I do know Edler talked to the media and said why would I want to stay if they don't want me here. That is a whole different ballgame. |

I think Edler will be traded. I know he is the best , but he is 30 and has 3 years left. I think it will be Nichuskinand a 2nd for Edler.
Sedin Sedin Eriksson
Sven Bo Nichuskin
Jake Sutter Hansen
Etem Abols Dorsett
Burrows Grandlund
Hutton Tanev
Subban Gudbrandson
Sbisa Tryamkin
Pedan Larsen - VANTEL
I would switch JV and Baer, but the forward group looks good. Too bad our defense would be worse than last year Unless some youngins surprise |

If were GM And I traded Nitushkin and A second for Edler . I would parlay that second ,Columbus second , and our second for next year and trade it for Kane.
Then I would work on the D for the next few years drafting. |

My wife keeps trying to get me to buy short sleeve button up shirts like Benning is wearing. I keep telling her I am not an old man why are you trying to dress me like one. Further proof that old men wear them. If I want to wear short sleeve semi dress shirts a polo works just fine. |

I am an old man and I wouldn't wear one. God invented golf shirts so you wouldn't have to wear one of those nerd shirts. |

Personally I think this is Edlers last kick at the can and he knows it. Benning signing Larson to me says to Edler time to put up or shut up. If Larson is the big RH shot we need on the PP Edler could be packing his backs especially if Hutton and even Subban step up. Edler logs massive minutes yes but too many minutes also makes him defensively irresponsible…which we don't need especially if he is consistently going to mis 20-30 games per year now due to his annual injuries.
I am hoping Larson is that RHD we need to shop Edler. I feel we could get a damn good asset for him looking forward. |
