Ughhhh. I really gotta start staying away from these comments. I can't read a single 1 of them without ignorant Toronto fans chimming in with ridiculous comments. "Buffalo has zero chance of making the playoffs"? Lol. I'm not delusional like most Leaf fans, but I know they aren't a lock to make it. But a zero chance? Hahahahaha that is the epitome of jealousy speaking loud and clear.

It's too bad Leaf fans are so obnoxious cuz I really like a few players on Toronto. But I'll never be able to really pull for them cuz of the fans. Btw this just isn't because of how they act on here or other message boards... Believe it or not, they are much worse when they travel down to Buffalo and try and take over our rink cuz tickets in Toronto are 10 times more expensive, so they are forced to come to Buffalo to watch them lose. Lol. And yes... They always get smoked in BUF, even in the tank years. I'm not positive, but I think they have won in BUF something like 1 or 2 times in the past 3 or 4 years. Hahahaha.

I love the part where you act obnoxious and then proceed to call other fans obnoxious.....

Bashing fans for going to support their team in other cities? Cool post.

I don't think Buffalo has a zero chance, but if you are honest with yourself Buffalo while headed in the right direction, probably needs another year before playoffs are realistic.

You are right. I am jealous of Buffalo. By the way, the Leafs also have zero chance of making the playoffs. But we have a great chance of finishing ahead of Buffalo.

Also, you will see comments like this here because they are direct responses to Garth's insane homerism's and hatred of the Leafs. If you go into the real Sabres' blogs from Michael Pachla you won't see as many of these types of statements - definitely not from me.

What. They are sold out pretty well every game . People pay for their seasons ticket by selling their Leaf tickets to the hockey hungry Leafs fans . Please get the facts before the making outlandish statements.

Buffalo does sell out using some low ticket prices for non-prime games. And that's fine. In fact it's better to sell out your rink with lesser priced tickets than having empty seats. From both a business and hockey perspective.

I live in Ottawa. Last season I saw the Nashville Predators and Avalanche play for $18 and sit in the upper bowl. In fact for the Avs I had to buy two tickets and I got them last minute and went alone. It was still a bargain at $36.

When my Leafs come to town I watch it online for free instead of paying $100.

Maybe I should rephrase... The only reason Buffalo has a team is because of Canadians? How's that?
- grim1911

35% of fanbase is on Niagara peninsula . No kidding . That is part of their territory and always has been . They are closer to Buffalo than Toronto . What the hell is your point ? Buffalo has 1 Million people .Toronto has how many in the metro Toronto area ? Fans come from Rochester too . Your national pride is misplaced. Before you stick you foot in your mouth I am a dual citizen so please don't insinuate I know nothing about Canada

And a large majority of your ticket sales are from Leaf fans. I go to 4-5 games a year in Buffalo and watch games other than the Leafs

That's all I'm getting at. Ton of Leaf fans are there when the Leafs AREN'T even playing (cause the tickets are cheaper than a case of beer)

You need to attend more games then as a long time season Ticket holder . The only thing that makes these fans stick out is their behavior not how many of them there are,

Buffalo will never be Toronto when it comes to being a hockey market, but neither will any other US city.

Having said that, Buffalo consistently has the highest ratings in the United States for Stanley Cup Finals etc.

Buffalo is a pretty good hockey town on it's own. It's not just a good hockey town because of Canadian visitors.

Btw buffalo has a zero percent chance of making the playoffs. The best thing they have going for them is the super clever blog titles on HB. That is rough.

Leafs traded him because he was a UFA, hence why he's in Florida now
- Old Pappy

Yes, but my point being is that when Buffalo traded Neuvirth and Enroth who were also both UFA's, it was called a disgusting display of tanking, but when the leafs traded Reimer, it was called a great asset management.

Did Toronto trade both of their goalies, and bring in a guy with a 3.71GAA/.875SV% to be the starter?

not even close to the same

- GardinerExpress

Absolutely the same! Toronto followed Buffalo's tanking blue print to the letter. You moved out all your vets (like Buffalo 2014-15), you traded your best defenseman mid season for guys that could not help you now (like Buffalo 2014-15), You moved your UFA goalie when he started putting together wins (like Buffalo 2014-15), You hide players in the AHL (like Buffalo 2014-15), you even went a step father by trading away your best offensive player for guys who couldn't help you win last season. Your season last year was virtually identical to what Buffalo did in 2014-15.

Yes, we tanked to get a shot at McEichel, but we didn't invent tanking, that goes to Pittsburgh, and the perfecting of it goes to Edmonton. But, to still try to deny that the Leafs didn't tank last season is really starting to look rather pathetic, just own it already.

No such thing as McEichel. There was McDavid and waaaay behind him was Eichel. Eichel is excellent though.

I don't know about waaaay behind. More like an Ovechkin to Malkin drop.

LOL...

Eichel is not even close to McDavid.. There's a good chance he won't even be the second best player in that draft.

The more laughy emoticons you post the dumber you look..

I happen to think Marner and Strome, but definitely Marner could have a higher ceiling.
