He will fit right in on the pass, pass, pass, pass, pass powerplay
At least Vesey and Pirri are shoot first guys |

Fair enough, someone just tried to defend him as a decent passer which couldnt be farther from the truth is all I was highlighting - hawkeytalkman
His assists per 60 and shot assists rate says his passing is just fine. |

That gif is deceiving cause that's an Olympic sized rink. Not that much surface in the NHL. - tomburton99
I watched him play 8-10 (boring) games in the KHL last season. And thank God he's a lot stronger than he looks... |

Miller needs to be the shoot 1st guy. He had success last year when he got confidence but then went back to the passing mindset. I think I might lose a tv this year if I see 1 more year of trying to pass it in the net on the PP. |

We signed another forward?
I have no problem with a 1 year deal for Pirri at a modest price. But, we have a lot of forwards. |

Nash is as good as gone. Going back to draft weekend you know Gorton was close on a few deals. Having Vesey and Pirri gives us more leverage. 2 players for 2 million. Add that to the low cap hits we signed and the Brassard trade and we can easily retain some salary for next 2 years of Nash contract. If it's Shattenkirk, we can do a little more this season and less next. This seems very likely since both players have been rumored all summer and it would be hard to start season with their respective teams. Ducks also seem to be a likely trade partner. They're still short forwards and have too many d but I think Fowler more likely than Lindholm. Would rather have Vatanen!! My guess is it'll be Shattenkirk. But make no mistake, there's no way we start season with defense the way it is. |

Shattenkirk just named Assistant Captain in St.Louis. Doubt they move him right now. |

Pretty sure all of the Rangers problems would be solved in Nash stopped trying to be a two way forward and net 50. Screw the hitchcock years. |

so you criticizing for using assists as an assessment of his passing, then you turn around and use assists for an assessment of his passing
Truly hypocritical |

Oh - 21peter
Jimmy Vesey announced that he will wear #26 for the Rangers this season.
He said that he picked #26 because he was born on May 26th and the last time he wore #26 was in the World Juniors when he was playing with JT Miller.
Vesey added, "hopefully we can continue to win hockey games with me at #26 and him at #10."
Previous Rangers to wear #26 include Marty St. Louis, Ruslan Fedotenko, Joey Kocur, Dave Maloney, Martin Rucinsky and Tim Tayor.
Vesey wore #19 while at Harvard. |

Agree, his agents could have definitely got him more than the league ELC max contract elsewhere IMHO, tbh. BBW. - eichiefs9
ELC is the same, he's playing for his 2nd contract and won't get nearly the points playing on the NYR 3rd line (if he even does that) as playing with P. Kane, Toews, Eichel or the NYI top 6. |
