I think Vesey and Buchnevich will be here from day 1, and along with Skjei, we will have three legit guys in the Calder trophy race. |

Kreider is a favorite for the Calder still too |

This is why looking at just stats is not smart - rangerdanger94
Stats came second. I watched him play fairly regularly and am basing the majority of my impressions off that. |

TPC.
I agree & not saying he won't be. Just confusing to keep adding forwards that will force other players to potentially be waived. I assume Gerbe would go unclaimed so depth move if needed later in the season but he might get selected. Lindberg will end up on LTIR at some point slated to miss at least the 1st month of the season so when he returns another player will need to be waived. I assume Jooris as Vigneault loves Glass. I can't see him clearing.
None of these scenario's are life threatening or significantly impact full. I really like the make up of the Rangers. The Rangers have done a great job of adding youth in the last 2 seasons & looking forward to Skjei being a full time NHL player.
To me this is a solid cup contender. I don't think Lundqvist is slowing down at all & still 1 of the 5 best goalies in the NHL for me. Elite goalies have played well into their late 30's in the NHL see Brodeur, Miller, Roy, Luongo, etc.
Kredier, Stepan, Zuccarello.
Miller, Zibanejad, Nash.
Vesey, Hayes, Pirri.
Fast, Jooris; until Lindberg returns, Grabner.
Spare. Glass.
McDonaugh, Giradi.
Stall, Klein.
Skjei, Holden.
McIlrath, Clendening.
Lundqvist, Raanta.
That is a young roster. - striker777

Even if Kreider wins the Calder this year, I feel like he'll still be eligible next year too |

Jokes on you, neither one of them turned out to be any good.
What a crap year that was. A guy who got picked 6th, and was considered a big reach at that spot, ended up being arguably the best defenseman in the draft. |

Buch needs a native speaker. Kreider doesn't know enough Russian. |
