There is no questions AV and the coaching staff will have their hands full in training camp. A few years, we all were up in arms because the team lacked depth. Now they have it and there's questioning why and how to manage it. Things will work out, they always do. Injuries happen, trades can occur, players step up or regress, let's let it play out a bit and see what transpires.
Buch/Vesey could go down or they could be 2/3 of a pretty darn good third line. Plus remember, due to the World Cup, you need players in camp and those players will have a real chance to make an impression, positively or negatively. - airjan23
I agree & not saying he won't be. Just confusing to keep adding forwards that will force other players to potentially be waived. I assume Gerbe would go unclaimed so depth move if needed later in the season but he might get selected. Lindberg will end up on LTIR at some point slated to miss at least the 1st month of the season so when he returns another player will need to be waived. I assume Jooris as Vigneault loves Glass. I can't see him clearing.
None of these scenario's are life threatening or significantly impact full. I really like the make up of the Rangers. The Rangers have done a great job of adding youth in the last 2 seasons & looking forward to Skjei being a full time NHL player.
To me this is a solid cup contender. I don't think Lundqvist is slowing down at all & still 1 of the 5 best goalies in the NHL for me. Elite goalies have played well into their late 30's in the NHL see Brodeur, Miller, Roy, Luongo, etc.

From what Sens fans said, Zibanejad is not the typical center in the sense he isn't a set up man, but more of a shooter. He would be a perfect match with Zuke, since Zuke is a winger who sets guys up like a center.

Zibanejad shoots at pretty much the same pace as Zuccarello with a slightly lower shooting % average as a whole. I don't watch Zuccarello often but I do watch a fair few Sens games and I never thought of Zibanejad as a shoot first sort of player.

Literally every Sens fan on here told us Zbad is a shoot first player

Interesting. Almost every Sens fan I talked to said he has a great shot, but isn't a set up guy. Said he would be best paired with a really good passer.
Maybe its not so much he is a shoot 1st guy, but his shot is superior to his passing and vision?

Huh. Different perceptions I suppose but if I recall correctly Zibanejad only averages something like 170ish shots per season. When I think shoot first type of player I think of someone like Hoffman who averages in the low 200's.

I wouldn't really say he is a set up guy either. Kind of a mixed bag to be honest. Good at most things but not great at any one thing.
