I used to laugh at the notion of a second team in Toronto - why the frank would MLSEL allow it?

Now, I'm not so sure. There is one possible scenario:

Bell and Rogers set up an amicable divorce. Some cash changes hands. Maybe one keeps the Leafs and Raptors, the other keeps TFC and gets a new franchise in Toronto.

New team plays in the Western Conference.

Discuss.

I remember the guys @ RDS being all excited in his draft year saying:

"It will be great to see who will become the best player between him and Leblanc, Habs picked Leblanc and we like him but Caron will be amazing in the NHL! We'll talk about that pick for years comparing the two!"
