Any update on Jimmy Vesey yet?
Seems things have gone quiet - MiloslavHorava
I hear he signed an AHL contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Hopefully he can produce at a top 6 level down there.

While I would like to see both Lindell and Honka with the Stars next season, they will have to make some decisions because they already have 7 def on 1-way contracts (Klingberg, Oduya[NTC], Hamhuis[NTC], Benn, Oleksiak, Nemeth & Johns).
Thats a nice problem to have too many D who can play in the big league |

Looking at the Dallas roster...Is their plan to win as many 7-6 games as possible? - mcjags
Seems to be par for the course with them. Hamuis is an upgrade to their defense, but their goaltending is suspect. Those kind of scores will wear them down |

Montreal is talking to teams in the East and to teams in the West. A trade might be imminent but might not take place until this weekend. Or maybe next week. Alot of trade winds blowing right now. Alot of smokescreens and agendas are at work right now. Stay tuned...

Mike and Russ way off on views of Senator signing. Mike .... your Blue Leaf colors showing through here. Ceci signing is a show me signing. Ceci had a horrible first half of year until paired with Phaneuf. He needs to show. Besides , 2 year deal takes Ceci to RFA limit. Sens can re-sign him then as an RFA still so they still control his rights. He will eventually make 5 million or so, but why pay it until they have too. Ceci will also never play on same line as Karlsson ...... both are puck moving d-men and their styles would not mesh together. As for Hoffman comments ........ we'll see how he reacts to new coaching change. Zibanajad trade WAS NOT A MONEY DUMP trade Mike. Get off that ride. Zib has shown way too many periods just not playing well and his preseason training was always questionable. He had his chance to seize the top centre spot when Turris went down last year and Zib failed miserably to seize the reins. He always threatens to show his potential but never really delivers. Maybe a change in venue will work. But I'd take Brassard every day of the week. He is more of a puck distributor and could work better on the line feeding Ryan and Hoffman. |
