Yeah, if they would just choose the best teams possible maybe Canada would win something for a change.

I find it a little bit funny that this has really not been brought up here much, but Hall has had some personal issues that have affected him.

It seems to me that Edmonton players play in a bit of a vacuum. Everyone in Edmonton (well, under 40 anyway) knows that Hall, Everle and 'Nuge were all heavily into the nightlife. And when I say nightlife, I mean 'partying'....and by that I mean they enjoy their substances. That core needed to change for more reasons than one.

Last year when they got lucky and drafted McDavid they assigned Hall to be his roommate, hoping that McDavid would help the situation. Kind of the opposite, right? Normally the vet is supposed to help the rookie....anyway, it helped but it didn't stop it from happening.

This the Hall trade. These other teams are not stupid....if I know about it, then certainly they do too. Of course Hall deserves to be on Team Canada based on his play. DUH. But he isn't being snubbed for his play.

Now, did Edmonton trade Hall away just because of this? No. In fact, they were stupid enough to bring in Kassian, who is also a coke-pig, to their environment. Just dumb. But this certainly did affect the value that Hall had on the market. This is also we they can't seem to give 'Nuge away.

Again....if I know about this stuff, other teams do too.

How credible am I? I live and work in Vancouver and have been around Kassian enough to know. I also am in Edmonton a LOT and have clients who have told me all about their boys and their habits. None of it surprises me....I used to live n Winnipeg and I have seen guys like Brandon Reid, Fedor Fedorov and Alex Auld snort more than a bull about to be released in a bull riding match.

So there....now you know it.

I thought they should of traded for Teravainen and now Crouse.

Bickell has 1 year left and would of probably of been 13th/14th forward or in Albany.

And Bolland is usually injured, no different then Clowe for the past 3 years and the next 2 years or Savard this year.

Hey, honestly at this point, I don't know.... Probably the only real help is via trade.
But I don't get why Ray can pull off a great move and then just kind of sits around.

Take a guy like Radulov. Devils are in on this guy but need to go two years to land him. We've got $12.5M in cap space with almost $9M tied up in Clowe and Savard.
Our payroll is the 2nd smallest in the league. We could have made a bit of a splash in free agency but really did nothing.

We are closest in payroll to Carolina which has the smallest payroll in the league. We were all waiting for all these bad contracts to end so we could use free agency to help rebuild the team but instead we keep taking little baby steps. I think it's the ownership...

He went out and got Bennett who could be a steal if healthy. We have young guys who can play, why spend money and get tied into horrible contracts especially with the expansion coming. It is going to expose a lot of teams and we can benefit from that.

Radulov the same guy that was a cancer with Nashville with character issues. What did he do to deserve a 2 year contract.
