You guys see any chance Sproul gets moved? If he doesn't crack the roster out of the gate, what do you figure the cost to acquire would be (considering waivers would be required)?

guys it's a hockey arena. if you've been to one you've been to them all. they're all designed with ONE thing in mind: maximizing revenue generation. this isn't a baseball or a football stadium. the "venue experience" is not important in hockey. you sit in your seat throughout the period, spend the intermission peeing and refilling your beer. not at the same time.

Even if that is all you care about at a hockey arena, it will still be a vast improvement. If you have been to the Joe then you know the feeling of despair when a "chubby" individual starts walking towards that empty seat next to you. You were guaranteed to have their sweat stains on you cuz the seats were soooooooooooo small. And the bathrooms? Standing shoulder to shoulder with all those other dudes with their junk out trying to share the troughs was disgusting.

I think Sproul will likely be claimed on waivers. Holland doesn't seem very high on him. I think he only played 1 NHL game. Holland hates players under 30.

I suspect that the Wings will carry 8 d-men on the active roster to start the season if there are no injuries on the back end before the season starts. Sproul and XO will likely get rotated in until they can trade one (doubt it would be more than a mid round pick) or the more likely scenario of having one claimed on waivers. XO currently has the inside track.

Kenny the Genius recently said that the plan is for Z to play with Nielsen and for Larkin to centre his own line. But the way Blashcock works, Glendening and Miller will likeiy lead all forwards in ice time.
