Cause they can't get enough Cs and likely see him playing on a lower line. Couture's two-way skills and positional flexibility likely make him more attractive in that capacity. He also has built-in chemistry with teammates (Burns and Vlasic) and his dominant playoff performance is still fresh in everyone's mind. I think there's plenty of reasons that make sense, but it's still odd to me.
