He is a Ranger, so if he scores 30 points, it will be because of Henrik.

Think McIlrath and Skjei are both upgrades over Boyle/Yandle defensively. They are going to lose a decent amount of points from the back end though.
- mdw7413

Yeah they'll do a better job of helping out Henrik but I do think you're going to have some issues creating offense from the back end.

Kid was over hyped he got the mcdavid treatment for a month but I think his ceiling on the Rangers is on the 3rd line

I'll give you Yak's dog for Girardi if you retain 20% salary.

Yup. Skjei has the wheels to create offense, that right side though is going to be slooow.

NYR doesn't have a need for a middle 6 winger

Going to need guys to get pucks up to your wingers fast and clean because if a team gets in and works that right side it's going to be bad news.

One thing I was surprised with McIlrath last year was the simple quick passes he would make out of the zone. And a rocket of a slap shot. Needs to work on his positioning and foot speed a bit more, I doubt the foot speed changes though for a guy his size.

I remember watching him in Moose Jaw and thinking the same thing. He's always had better hands than he gets credit for and is a reasonably smart player. Not all that fast but always felt he had the tools to be a solid #4.
