Funny, but back in the early 1900's they were probably beautiful. Like Bayonne used to be a summer retreat for the rich and famous.

Aleksi Saarela will suit up for the Canes at the Traverse City tournament this year.

Canes play the Rangers on September 16th at 4 pm.

I predict he will play with Julien Gauthier.

I wish we still had Saarela but I don't know where he'd fit at this point in the Rangers depth charts, don't know whether they would rank his potential higher than Adam Tambellini or Kovacs or Gropp

Personally would like to see Grabner get some time on 3rd line. People forget this guy has a 30 goal season on his resume, and had been stuck last few years on horrible teams. Could flourish playing in AV system. Also, I see Miller with Keeider and Stepan. Nash has to go. Not that I don't think he can have a bounce back year, but I think he needs a change. His time in NY is up and he's already favorite whipping boy. Buchnevich would be good fit with Zook and MZ on 2nd line. 3rd line Vesey-Hayes-Grabner .. Glass has to go, either trade or demotion. 4th line Gerbe-Jooris-Fast..
D pairings- McIlwrath-Mcdonaugh..(need to protect captain) Skjei-Fowler(Nash traded to Ducks) 3rd pair combo of Girardi Staal and Holden. I think Klein could be traded. He has a reasonable contract and no ntc. Other long shot, Shattenkirk instead of Fowler for Nash.

there is this sentiment these days that European prospects are all going to turn into the next big thing, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they always seem to have great possession numbers. Definitely tied to Corsi.

Wasn't that his rookie year like 6 years ago?

So the way I see it here are the trade options. All should be bringing back either a D man or picks

In order from how likely I see them moved:
Klein
Fast
Lindberg
Nash
Zuuc

More or less. I think he played something like 20 games in his first NHL stint the prior year.

Hopefully Grabner gets sent down to the AHL after training camp

What a bum that guy is

From what you guys know, what roughly is his perceived value within the organization?

Klein is such an important cog on our defense. He's legitimately our 2nd most reliable defenseman after McDonagh at this point in the offseason.

I almost overslept today so I didn't have time to make coffee before leaving for work today. So for the first time in probably a year I'm on zero cups of coffee

What would constitute selling high? 2nd round pick and a prospect? 1rst round pick and middling pick?

*sigh*

This is true. Oilers would probably have to retain some of his salary in a one for one deal for Glass at this point.

Depending on when the deal went down..

Now? a 2nd and 3rd?

At the deadline? (Which would shock me if they thought they weren't in a position to make a run) I think you could get a 1st from a desperate team who needs backend help

The Florida-Coyotes deal shows why the Rangers will never be able to trade a Girardi or Staal. We can't afford to give up top prospects lol
