I'll try anything once.
Except tripe or haggis.
Not. Ever. Nope. No. (frank)ing. Way. - eichiefs9
Come on, man. My local brewpub had a Robert Burns dinner every year with the main course being haggis. Not real Scottish haggis mind you, the FDA says some ingredients in the real stuff are not for human consumption. This from the same company, I mean government agency, that says glyphosate is safe to drink. I digress... I think the haggis they serve is made in Newark. Like that makes it safe to eat.
Went to the dinner for 4 years, and the haggis really isn't that bad. Kind of like Alpo with a strong liver taste. Burns dinner is a blast, I'm sure you can find one next January in your area. |

I'm relatively sure they don't encase them in that anymore, not your typical store-bought stuff anyway. - eichiefs9
Intestine, not stomach. So you should be good to go. |

Yeah but my point was: I don't think any popular-brand, supermarket-sold sausages are cased in intestine anymore. I think they're all done using the cellulose casing. |

Actually had someting similar to these not too long ago. Surprisingly, not half bad. - Bean_Dip
So not that good either? My daughter loved the Amy's chili until I pointed out there is no meat in it, now she is dubious but still eats it. Pretty good for no meat tinned chili. |

Yeah, glyphosate makes me want to vomit as well.
Not like you get a "personal Haggis", just a slice. And that is enough to hold me over until the next year. Seriously not bad otherwise I wouldn't have gone back.
Worth trying once. |

Like I said, I'll try almost anything. I'm not saying it tastes disgusting or anything...just that animal stomach stuffed with other stuff and boiled is something that I will never even be in the same room as.
I just got nauseous reading the recipe. |

If I didn't have to either go to a kid's soccer tournament or a Michigan football game for every weekend from now until the end of the time, I would agree. Love Traverse City.

I remember them talking about the area and how great it was the last time MSG aired it. Sucks they don't do it anymore. |

Naaah it's basically Chipotle meets Taco Bell. It's a lot worse for you than chipotle but they have a much wider selection of options and it tastes better but in a not good for you way |

The only difference is that this year McIlrath will be paired with Sean Day instead.

Can't be all that expensive for one of MSG's 15 channels to send a camera crew and an announcer out there for a few days. I tried to find it on the net and couldn't even find a streaming video. |
