I'd be ok with him getting 30 points next to Weber and being solid on D.

Beaulieu has improved every season since joining the Habs.

Hopefully he can take a step forward again this year.

yes they also really need to bring Markov down by a few minutes per game
- DoubleDown

We've been saying this for years. Question is, what's management's plan? Do they intend on re-signing Markov so he can play out the last 2-3 years of his career in Montreal, or do they intend on trading him this season?

How do you manage his ice-time appropriately in order to make him either:
A) interesting for other teams or
B) available at a discount for the Habs?

He still put up 44 points

We've been saying that for a couple of years now. And it really shows at the end of the season or during the playoffs.

Very few do.

I mean, in his mind, anyway. Or whatever that thing is that passes for being his mind.

he will retire a Habs.

Pair him on the 2nd pair / 2nd PP for 18-19 mins a night.

they need someone to step up and play big minutes, that player will most likely be Sergachyov next year.

he won't be dealt because Montreal will be in the playoffs.
and yes he put up points... but he was still used way too much at ES. not many 37-38 year olds with bad knees can play 25-25 minutes over 82 games and be at the top of their game in april
