i never realized how awful Semin's skating was... but even still i thought he would be a PP specialist.

my expectations for Radulov are definitely higher than they were for Semin. i think anything below 25 goals/25 assists would be quite disappointing.

i think im in the minority who doesn't hate Emelin. yes overpaid by about $1 million but he's a fine bottom of the rotation 15-17 minute guy. he's an OK skater and a nice physical presence. definitely prefer him over Josh Gorges.

I don't hate him. But I think a guy like Pateryn can do the same job at 800 000$ instead of 4,1 millions. Pair Pateryn with Barberio who can move the puck decently and you have an OK 3rd pair for 1,5 millions combined.

Pateryn is not at all the same kind of physical presence Emelin is.
anyway if you have to move Emelin because you're re-purposing those cap dollars fine. just saying i wouldn't move him for the sake of moving him. like i would Desharnais.
