But, he's here until the end of the season, if not longer, I'm afraid.
He's playing along with the owner's game plan of pushing for the playoffs only to fall just short, or squeak in and get throttled by an actual contender.

If anything, we'll be lucky to get rid of Coach Willie this year and Benning next year.

It's kind of a weird race to see who the worst GM is right now...

I think it's still Benning, but Chiarelli is giving him a run for his money.

Sweeney has done some stupid things but lately has been mixed. Bergevin might be one move from sweeping in and taking the crown too.

Ken Holland is quickly climbing the rankings too, while Dean Lombardi has made some significant missteps of late.

Oh I know. He's good. He was always a nightmare for the Hurricanes whenever they played Buffalo. Always could light up Ryan Miller but could never beat Enroth. Hoped he would wind up out west for good.

Ron Hextall has been doing a pretty good job. I like what they've been doing in Toronto for the most part. I know i'm biased as far as Francis goes but the slow and steady approach has been good.

Rutherford pulled off some wizardry in Pittsburgh last year but has to stay the course this year.

Dale Tallon probably would be #1 if he were still the GM in Florida right now, though. Maybe Yzerman.

I pretty much agree with your best and worst. Rutherford's coaching change looks like genius now, and the Kessel trade payed off huge in the playoffs for them.

I don't know how Chiarelli traded Seguin and Hall. Still trying to figure that one out. I guess we'll see.

That's good to hear. Actually I seem to recall Enroth doing the same thing to the Leafs. But them the Leafs have lost continually to every Sabres goalie for a decade. If he plays like that for the Leafs for 750K, can't complain.

Another Scandinavian goalie too, him and Andersen can talk pickled herring, that can't hurt. They're probably related anyway.
