Are you seriously comparing a two time Cup winner that was traded for cap reasons and then injured 23 games into the season to a player with zero big league experience that was traded on a hopeful contract signing?
- jimi james

there are all sorts of comparisons going on here and usually it's to troll a buffalo move...that's one of the things he's pointing out

So it's wise to trade a 2nd and two 4ths for a player on an expiring contract, and then just give up?

Point is, the all powerful Leafs aren't exempt from bad moves, yet Buffalo is so stupid for what they do seems to be the narrative of the bashers. Short memories for all!!

A few Leaf reject fans doesn't make us all

I liked Bolland and it was looking like he was going to have a great year...pretty tough injury - and by the looks of it - pretty good idea not to resign him...the 3rd round to try and sign Vesey is fine if you have an abundance of picks - no big deal IMO

Many good teams seemed to think Vesey is going to be good enough to get in on the meetings, including the GMs of teams who have won 4 of the last 7 cups I think the number is. Bolland topped out as a 37 point guy (as something he was able to repeat, though he did have 1 standout year of 47 points). I would guess these GMs picture Vesey to be at least pretty close to that kind of play.

As a fan you love watching your team make moves but I thin for now I'd like them to just go with what they've got and give younger players some ice time. I really don't want another colaiacovo or franson. They're not nearly impactful enough to make a difference in the standings anyways, just become dead weight taking a roster spot from someone more deserving.

Never said all of you.

Just find the move's reactions ridiculous, as if there aren't moves by ALL teams that are worse. And then spouting off some needle-in-the-haystack finds in 3rd or later rounds?

Give the Leafs multiple picks in the 1st round and they'll still manage to combine for 0 games played (Percy, Biggs). Yet we get bashed for trading one of 4 3rd round picks that we had. Funny

You're using a Garth quote as a knock on the team's failure to land players?

Loving the Toronto hate, criticizing sending off a 3rd round pick (one of 5 the Sabres had, 4 when factoring in one had to be sent off without choice to Pitt).

Meanwhile, they traded a 2nd and two 4ths for 23 games of the amazing Dave Bolland. Short memories from the center of the universe.

But, you know, BUFFALO has asset management issues, not anything that happens to their own team.

It wouldn't be a bad idea if anyone thought Buffalo had a decent chance at signing him.

Two 2nds and a prospect at the deadline for a guy who would have been faster on the ice in a Jazzy.

Like Murray, Bylsma should get 3 years. Same with Rex Ryan IMO.
