We've gotta keep in mind that Nylander will prob be ready next year
Also Bailey, & possibly Fasching

I'm not a big Fasching guy though,
So I'd deal him + to get one of the guys you mention

At this point,
I doubt Ennis or Girgs are gonna have the value to get that kinda talent
Maybe after they have bounceback seasons
Kane prob has to prove he can straighten himself out for a year before we can get a good return for him

It would be nice to bring in another guy so we can run with 3 scoring lines instead of 2, but we prob have to wait until next year to do that

mhp mentioned pulkkinen in the original post. i thought his skating was supposed to be a problem, but hes got a rocket shot. i understand that if you dont want to pay much, you are going to get players with holes in their game, it just doesnt look like a great fit.

Fasching seems to be a polarizing kid. Some people are pretty low on him and others think he's going to really pan out. I know skating is his big knock but from what I saw in a very small sample size it wasn't as though he was unable to keep up with the speed of the game. He wasn't burning players, but I didn't think he was skating in honey either.

Bailey, Carrier, Fasching, Asplund. Need 2 of those 3 to pan out if we want to be good.

Agreed. I think Bailey plays more games in the NHL than in the AHL and I think Guhle stays up. Those are my predictions

His skating is fine. I was surprised at how badly Bailey outplayed him in the prospects game. I was expecting more from him

I agree his skating was fine, just remember people saying he was too slow for the game. I didn't see the prospects game but I also don't put a ton of weight in it. Eichel underwhelmed in his as well. On the same note Nylander didn't impress me on the day I got to see him but, again, that camp was more about learning what they want them to do rather than show off the skills.

We'll see come training camp how they look, I guess. I'll be going to a few Rochester games to watch Bailey, Fasching, and hopefully Nylander so that's something to look forward to.

I don't either but you can see who is too good to be there and who isn't.

Reinahrt and Eichel were too good to be there last year. Bailey and Nylander were obviously better than everyone this year, Fasching.......was Ok

last time sabres made the playoffs, enroth was the go to goalie, not miller, to get in

May I ask why? Not including the trade and what we gave up to get him, I don't understand the lack of enthusiasm from some. Cawlidge hawkey he played fairly well, 56 pts in 78 games. US NTDP he had 148 in 196. He scored well in World Junior games (3-10-13 in 17 games) and even got on the score sheet in the NHL (1-1-2 in 7 games).

214 lbs, 6' 2", 21 years old. He can play in Rochester and learn his game instead of needing to rush up. If he can keep up with the speed of the game I don't see the downside.

I don't know if he becomes a perennial 20 goal scorer, but I think he can make it in the NHL. Does he become the next Marcus Foligno or does he have better offense than that is my real question.

Last I heard we traded him for being too good and he had a very good season in LA.

I suppose. I'm higher on Bailey than I am of Fasching. I'm hoping he learns a lot from Rochester the way Bailey seemed to learn from the NHL. Ever since Bailey got that call-up he's been a different player.

Who ever we had as a backup during Millers time here was the go too goalie imo.
