you're probably right...yet the other part of the Eichel-equation was actually being on the same sheet of ice with him for four consecutive summers as well as playing with him on the 2015 world championship team...i'd say there's a pretty strong possibility that Vesey knows what Eichel has to offer as a teammate and/or linemate

Trust me, Vesey knew everything and more he needed to know about the Sabres. Murray and CO did everything they had to do to " educate " Vesey about the Sabres. They really wanted him and he knew it, he would have got top 6 here without a doubt. They met 2 times and another talk over the phone.

new York has always been able to lure the best athletes to the big apple...and if I were a 23 yr. old like Vesey with that many options, it would be hard to pass up, especially when you have a personal friend on the team to help you along both socially and professionally
