Kasper was an amazing hitter for his size. Like the Pecca of defense. Both guys not very big, but could light you up.

Well Darian did break Roenick's jaw.

How many times did Roenick get his jaw broken? I know he also broke it from a puck in a Rangers game, and the fans gave him a standing ovation.

You can't acquire Shattenkirk with dead weight
- TPC

LOL

I am assuming that poster felt Nash was dead weight? Not for nothing, we all know Nash's past in playoffs, but far from dead weight. He will get his 30-35 goals. NYR needs Nash this year. If he does leave, who is gonna replace his goals and defensive play? seriously. Dont realize his importance till he's gone. Hopefully, Girardi and Staal have bounce back years.

His hit was the one that started the End of Lindros.

This could be worst list of I've seen, Phaneuf as the number 2 hitter of all time?

Claude & Tikkanen were both late 80s & 90s. Barnaby I hated w Buffalo & Pittsburgh. There was another guy on Buffalo who was brutal, always seemed to get away w dirty shat, Vachlav Varada, remember him?

I still have no idea how Tikkanen was an agitator when no one had a (frank)ing clue what he was saying.

Pronger was a perfect agitator. Played with an edge, pissed people off and absolutely terrified people as well as being a top 5 or so defenseman from his era.

I would have loved him on the Devils.

Definitely, had no problem with the Kasparitis hit. Very similar to the one Stevens had on Francis. Guy charging down the boards with his head down.

Detroit had Probert & Kocur on the same line for years, 2 of the all time tough guys.

Lots of great defensemen from those years. Leetch, Niedermayer, Chelios, early Lidstrom years.
