Casey Bailey had an NHL calibre shot and lasted 4 months with the Leafs. Christian Hanson had NHL skill and lasted one season. Brayden Irwin was a top 6 forward....who never even played an NHL game. I've maintained that I like the idea of a free prospect, but my expectations for Vesey are low enough that I don't care he signed with another team.

Jimmy Vesey is going to be a twobit dime-a-dozen player. He'll score 12 goals next year and his career high will be 22 in 6 years. He'll carve out a journeyman career playing for 7 teams and will never make it past the second round.
