Excellent in a mr. Burns voice. Now we can go after rick nash. I think he would be a better pick up for this year than vesey.
- Carubba-Kaleta

Cap though

I don't want Nash unless they're giving him away
And if they're eating salary, the we aren't getting him cheap

Vesey picks Rangers
- SABRES 89

Well this is awkward

In all seriousness though, the Sabres trading for his rights was a low risk high reward move. You guys had picks to spare and as a fan, I would love seeing my GM make an effort like that to improve the team.

If you acquire Nash, you will likely be fleeced. Gorton does not make offseason trades unless he fleeces the other team.

1. Bash GMTM for wasting a pick on someone who will never be an impact player..
2. Deny we every wanted him to sign with the Sabres
3. Quote Burke on college players don't make good NHL players

We just aren't there yet when it comes to certain players wanting to sign here, in time things may change but i'm glad Murray tried to go after him.

I know I'll hear crap for this, but I truly believe TM will give Nylander a shot at the roster. Minimum the 9 games, but if he's adjusting I think he burns a year. Kid is a supreme talent.

If he is good enough to make the team, keep him. I don't think he is good enough just yet though. Supreme talent but just not ready.

I didnt understand the Devils thing, but same scenario with distance.

I give Murray a lot of credit he's made moves to better this team and some people like it and some don't. It's better then all the excuses we would get out of Darcy, no way he would have had the balls to do anything close to what Murray has done. Once again I know some will not agree with Murray but I do.

Only makes sense for NYR to trade him if they need the Cap space
In which case, they wouldn't get much return
And for us, we'd have to somehow find the room

I think NYR prob stays put now though

Congrats btw
I think he'll be pretty good for u guys

I'll take both. Guy I know who has scouted for the Sabres before says he thinks he's ready now and if not very soon.

When was the last time we were talking hockey in mid-August? Legitimate hockey talk, not the no way in hell, even in NHL 16, trades. It is what it is. A 6% chance on a guy to get to the show for rights to talk to a guy who will 99% be playing in 2 months. Whatever. I had that reaction then, I have that reaction now.
