I have to say, the Vesey rumors going back and forth between teams being in the "front" or "out of" the race have been hysterical. It's pretty clear the media have ZERO inside scoops on where Jimmy will end up but are desperate to create a story and milk it for all its worth.

As a Leafs fan I'm conflicted -- I think this kid may have the chops to be an impact player, albeit, likely not as a top line winger but then... whose spot does he take?

Regardless of who he signs with I genuinely hope this kid does well and proves the detractors wrong. He played fairly within the rules and opted to run the full NCAA course and become UFA. Good on him.
