Part of me thinks what Vesey is doing is the future of sports. Players of high caliber entering the league and being able to pick where they want to play. And sometimes, I think this is a good thing.

However, I don't understand what is taking Vesey so long. He's only going to make so much on his first contract, so I'm not sure that's a deal breaker.

I would imagine, after the particulars of what should be a fairly straightforward contract are worked out. As for negotiating the role he would play, I would think that's fairly straightforward as well.

I still think he's going to look back on the decision not to play in Nashville as a mistake. They have a great system, good players, and he would have played on Ryan Johansen's wing.
