Ottawa is not on his list. There is no list. I love how HB bloggers talk aa though they've heard this through sources. They haven't. He's told his some of his family members and close friends that he's signing with the Bruins. I'll take that ahead of anything I read on this site.

Ottawa is not in the race. They never presented to him as Dorion knew they had no chance. He will not go to a team that is already eliminated from the playoffs.

They traded the 2nd best defenseman in the league for an older, less offensive, slower defenseman who's at best a second defenseman on a good team at this point in his career. They also signed a Russian to an over 5 million dollar contract. A player who has not played in this league in 5 years. They also signed a less talented version of David Clarkson to one of the worst contracts in the league. A player you probably have never heard of named Andrew Shaw.

They'll get bounced in the playoffs because of their stupid turn to analytics. They traded their physicality away for puck moving defensemen. That won't work in the playoffs. I see the Bruins as the clear 3rd better team in the division. Detroit is in lalaland, Buffalo and the Leafs are on their way but still a ways to go and both Montreal and Ottawa are in the bottom 5 of the league. Two of the worst lineups post 2004 lockout. No doubt.
