They do have a lot of players on multiple year deals at very high cap hits ....do they need to make a trade before the season starts or does the LTIR help them

Problem with trading edler is his value has plummeted so much is the return going to be worth it ...30 year old D man who averaged less than 24 points the past 4 seasons

Edlers value has plummeted to the know it alls on HB. There are 30 GMs that would be glad to have him on their team. They wouldn't sell the farm but they would send at least one nice piece back maybe more.

I don't think 30 teams would take him at the drop of a hat ....some are up against the cap and others might have too much invested in their backend already ...if there was no salary cap then I could see 30 teams with interest

Both Franzen and Vitale are apparently going to be on ltir all season according to THN.

About 4.3 in cap space.

Only way I see them moving Edler this year is if they are way out of the playoffs. Too important to the team and they don't have any one in the system close to being able to fill his shoes.
