Were you one of the thousands cheering a loss a couple of years ago to get McDavid? and failed.
- highstick87

I cheered for McEichel. And we succeed. Eichel is a superstar and exactly what u need to win. Would we of liked mcdavid yes offcourse who wouldn't but you ask any sabre fan all season we were cheering for eichel because we knew it was a long shot for McDavid.

The only decision Vesey makes that I think would be cool is if he surprised everyone and went to a team like Carolina or New Jersey. But we know he won't.

Thanks for that and agreed. I think ghost is an amazing dman and they flyers are doing fine with a moderate prospect pool overall. They have been pretty quiet in FA and lack a lot of firepower up front and shaky in goal.
- jackzack87

pure gold. if the flyers are shaky in goal how do you categorize the sabers situation?

no need to be active in free agency at this stage. figured a smart hockey person like yourself would realize that.

stacked young players. good stuff. let me know when all that pays off will you.

well it is obvious you are clueless about the flyers situation. flyers are in a rebuild (you wouldn't know that as you are clearly clueless) yet still made the playoffs. they don't have to tank and be a disgrace to the sports world like buffalo did.

your right the flyers have no high 1st rd picks. they have nothing on the horizon. They are an old borderline team with aging vets. mid pack team for years to come. just a shame they don't follow the buffalo model to succeed.

- rinaldo

Flyers have some good young dman but they lack good young fowards. Their best fowards are all declining and fast. Goalie is very questionable. Everyone makes fun of buffalo but i much rather have buffalo roster then philly. Also how do you think PIT and Chi got so good? they did the samething and they have how many cups? No one cares how you got so good when you are winning cups.

We have been quiet in FA due to contract mistakes made by Homer, as well as Hexy's plan not to commit long term deals to aging players / veterans. Soon, Hexy will have more cap flexibility with some players coming off the books and the coming up of our prospects on their ELCs. Can't argue with our lack of firepower, we are pretty darn weak at LW as well.

Really sabres have Lehner who has shown good signs in games he played and they prolly have the best goalie prospect pool in NHL. Good try though. Flyers have two backup goalies as starters.

Which goalie is questionable? Bc both Mason and Neuvy played pretty well last season...

oh good you're back

okay, how would anyone rather have the sabres roster considering in the past 4 years the flyers have finished ahead of the sabres in the standing. our best players are not "declining fast." coots and schenn both had breakout years and G is still one of the leagues top scorers. Konecny is an A+ forward prospect and aube-kuebal, rubstov, and lebarge are all very good prospects. and in terms of goal-that staement is absolutely laughable. Steve Mason is a top 10 goalie in this league and Neuvirth proved that he deserves to be a starter as well. For the first time in years, goaltending was not an issue for philly

please post any sort of statistic that shows lehner is anywhere close to mason or nuevirth. lehner has a grand total of 100 nhl games under his belt. and he has done nothing in those 100 games to prove he is anything but a low level starter

also the fleyrs have one of the best goalie prospects in Hart and took the no1 goalie in the draft this year. AND stolarz was an AHL all-star in his rookie season. so nice try. you're just a troll that knows nothing about hockey

can you tell what best forwards the flyers have who are declining fast?

they dont lack good young forwards at all. could always be better but not barren by any means.

goaltending is not questionable. that is a false narrative.

good try at what?

the sabres goaltending is much much shakier than the flyers. only a homer sabres fan would dispute that.

Stop looking in past it means nothing.

Espn predict sabres having better roster.

Really that is how you a better. Sabres went from 54 points to 81 points. Clearly they are getting better and are on the rise. Devils went from 78 to 84. Not that impressive. I bet you everything including kitchen sink sabres have more points then devils at the end of the year.

Also power rankings

You're using the 54 points from your tank year to show how much you improved?

If Buffalo can prove to be a better team on the ice next year that's fine, but until that actually happens it's conjecture.

they should just give the sabres the cup for the next 10 years and save us the agony of watching a single nhl game
