Pavel Zacha. I believe he plays more C than Wing...but could be wrong, but thats their Stud no.1 C
- DDM-Coga

He is a center but he does not project to be superstar. They will be lucky if he is better then Adam Henrique. I will still take Eichel, O'Reilly and Mathews over him.

Bergeron and Krejci tend to make their wingers pretty good too, just in case centers are his only selling points judging by the predictions. If he's looking for the least amount of pressure than yes, he should sign with the devils and play in front of their 250 fans.
- highstick87

Bergeron helped Eriksson be a 30 goal scorer last season, and Krejci was a big key in Lucic becoming a 7 million dollar player.

Besides the fact that offensive is only part of the game and I know you don't want to talk about defense or goaltending, the Devils had two 30 goal scorers last year in Palmeri and Henrique. How many were in Buffalo?

Also, Cammalleri is also a good offensive player when he can stay healthy. You guys score 17 more goals last year.

- Queenie_5_hole

We're down to "good offensive players" when they're on? If that's the case he should sign with buffalo no doubt, because Matt moulson knocked in 30 a couple times himself and Marcus foligno had a solid point per game stretch for a dozen or so games there in2014....

Or Toronto, cuz JVR...

Devils shouldn't be in the conversation, it's probably for location alone they are getting a look. Same for philly, another flatlining team without a clear direction

You cant honestly tell me that you think Devils are better team the sabres or Leafs. They are so much better of then the devils it is not even funny.

#20 - NJD - 84 points
#23 - Buf - 81 points
#30 - Tor - 69 points

Yes, I can tell you that NJ is the better team... Don't get me wrong, Buffalo and Toronto have great prospects; but if you are arguing who the better team is right now, numbers don't lie.

How is Philly a better fit?
- Queenie_5_hole

better team. better prospects. has an opportunity to play on top line if he earns it with Giroux.

Oh stop already. The homerism is unbearable, the jersey blogger says jersey, the flyers fan says philly, on and on.

Truth is Chicago or Pitt is probably the best option if you want to win now, Toronto or buffalo if you want top 6 mins and to be a real part of a new exciting time, and philly, Rangers, jersey or Bruins if you just want to make a bad decision. I don't see any of those teams on the upswing, and rangers are the only ones with a serious playoff shot.

- jackzack87

haven't seen 1 flyers fan say they are the best fit at all.

funny how the buffalo fan is hyping his team up. interesting.

Bruins are so overrated and getting to old now. They will struggle to make playoffs for next five years. Their best chance to win cup in next ten years is to pull a buffalo or Tro. and sell everyone. They can get alot of good pieces with their core. I am sure i will take some heat for this but i just dont see them competing with their group.

Bergeron i believe is still in his 20's or just turned 30, and how can you be overrated while watching the playoffs for the past 2 seasons? Also, they are integrating a ton of young players, so besides Chara and Backes, I don't know who's "old", and what young team succeeds in the league?

God I hope this guy gets traded after the 1st year. All this talk about his 2nd contract being a selling point....he hasnt played a minute of pro hockey yet and his 2nd contract pay day is already in question?

Bananas

- DDM-Coga

Dude. I know. This is so ridiculous.

Everyone is treating him like he's a seasoned player that just became a Free Agent and can come right in and help a team.

He's completely unproven. It's 50/50: he could be good, or he could be a bust.

He's chosen to go down the dangerous road of Free Agency for unproven guys--creating a media circus around himself (which is not entirely his fault). Now he'll have to deal with being under a microscope and living up to impossible expectations.

Makes you appreciate the dudes even more who don't have the luxury of pulling this kind of stunt and actually sign with the team that drafted them and work their way up.

Really that is how you a better. Sabres went from 54 points to 81 points. Clearly they are getting better and are on the rise. Devils went from 78 to 84. Not that impressive. I bet you everything including kitchen sink sabres have more points then devils at the end of the year.
