Look around the league at most of the #2 dmen and some #1's. Most were mid round draft picks whof were given proper time to develop. Keith weber giradano klingberg muzzin josi stralman buff kronwall to name a few. Not all top pairing dmen have to be top 10 picks. Give the kids some time to develop.

Rielly is better atm and has more of an opportunity to grow. However, Trouba had the toughest zone starts on the Jets and the least PP opportunities and still produced well.

If they could get him, the Leafs would be set.
