Yeah yeah someone always says Man U, they so blatantly can buy championships that while it's impressive it doesn't stack up against Detroit building two different era Cup teams back to back, while not missing the playoffs for like a couple decades. And doing it in the cap system also at the end. For me the Red Wings had the best overall organizational run of success in sports. - Zezel

Red Army Hockey Team.
CSKA won 32 Soviet regular season championships during the Soviet League's 46-year existence, far and away the most in the league's history; no other team won more than five. This included all but six from 1955 to 1989 and 13 in a row from 1977 to 1989. - Atomic Wedgie

No, what happened there was the class of '92 - Scholes, Beckham, Bicky Butt, Both Neville brothers and Ryan Giggs. All were developed through the academy and cost the team nothing beyond scouting, and all played pivotal parts in multiple championships at the exact time that league revenues were ballooning. Add in either existing vetarans or players who were well scouted and relatively cheap (Solskjaer, Cantona, Keane, Pallister, Irwin, Bruce, Robson, Kanchelsjis) and you had the makings for the start of a dynasty. Spending really only went Crazy when the Russian Billionaire bought Chelsea in the early 2000's... - lumlums

Yeah, but hockey is better.
And I even like soccer. But c'mon, dominating the NHL for twenty years as an organization is more impressive than winning a lot of euro football. |

Didn't they basically raise those players like Spartan children in barracks, programming them to play hockey? And then play them against teams like the old early card WWF mismatches where it's King Kong Bundy against Steve the Kevin. |

That it's the world's most popular sport because it's the cheapest to play and only sport attainable for most of the planet?
It's a question of availability and not validity. |

And a first round pick that turned into something, I don't remember what but I think it turned out to be nothing. Certainly no Vesey or anything. |

Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure it was Colborne, a 1st (Biggs) and a 2nd which the Leafs flipped for Liles. |

I liked Avatar. Inception is the big overrated piece of garbage. I actually want to see Avatar 2 whereas you'd have to hold a gun to my head to make me watch Inception again, or a sequel. |
