So you think that there's a 65% chance that the Sabres will sign him, yet you give odds of 4-1, and there are two teams with better odds?

I get that the betting lines must also reflect what the betting public thinks, but even still, the math here is somewhat confusing.

Actually I think it's your reading comprehension that is confusing...

Wild conjecture and an unhealthy dose of wishful thinking to be sure, but nothing that offends my grade 11 math teacher.

well whoever signs him will hit the jackpot, because apparently this kid is the second coming of Gretzky and Lemieux and Crosby all put together..

That's why he has to look at depth charts and rosters and organizations etc...

he's going to shatter every record in the NHL,

Comments like this are rampant. You should look at what they have on facebook.

God forbid a guy wants to choose where he works for the next 2-5 years. That must mean he thinks he's amazing. Not because he has multiple offers with the same money so he wants to decide what the best decision for his future is. Hope you never have 2 job offers because then you'll think you're the greatest worker of all time.

Go re-read it - I would hope that you would figure it out on your own. If not, I'll help explain it to you...

Let's just go ahead and have you try to explain to me how a team that has a 65% chance of landing him is not considered the favourite.

Thanks

HAHA! Wow! Even after you re-read it you can't see the "Before Chicago and Pittsburgh were mentioned?"

He lists Buffalo as 4 to 1 NOW! The 65% was BEFORE!!!!

Got it?

If you want to come in and start throwing out insults, perhaps you should truly understand what it is your insulting, because you've only made a fool of yourself.

Haha. Sorry, I almost never feed the trolls, but when someone throws insults that are unfounded it drives me nuts.

It's a media circus. He'll sign somewhere. He'll be okay. He won't be Gretzky and probably won't put up Panarin's numbers from last year. I hope he signs here because he's a good player that would have only cost us a 3rd that we had 4 of but he's not McDavid. This board will get very whiny and troll-filled but it really shouldn't since he's just one good player.

Will there be that cool thing where you take a loaf of pumpernickel, carve out the middle of it and then put in spinach dip?

Because I freaking love that.

Unreal! Again, reading comprehension. What he's trying to illustrate is that he has always felt Buffalo has a very good chance, but with Chicago and Pittsburgh he realistically has to reduce odds.

And if making remarks about 11th grade math teachers is not throwing insults, then I don't know what is?

That, and how about blame the NHL/NHLPA for making the date of this fiasco mid-August when nothing else happens. If it were July 1st no one would care

Devils don't just have "quality goaltending" they have the best goalie in hockey in his prime arguably. Not saying that is going to land him in NJ but Schneider is better than every goalie on all those teams listed so I'd say that is a good amount of leverage. Plus his automatic top 6 role in their offense. If he wants to play with Taylor Hall he can play RW and get top line minutes, if not then play along side Palmieri on the 2nd line who scored 30 himself last season. Wouldn't completely knock the Devils out of this race. Their short term future is just as bright as any other team listed.

Sooooo very far out of your intellectual league. Give up now.

I probably am. I'm not trying to prove intellectual superiority. I'm simply pointing out that he clearly doesn't comprehend what he's reading in this instance. It's clear he wants to troll, so making fun of someone's math is his way of doing it. That kind of behavior drives me nuts.

Vesey to the Flyers would be funny

They seem not to have a seat at the table today but that doesn't mean tomorrow isn't in the cards as Boston isn't listed for today either and we know they got a seat at the table before it's over.
