Got to watch Philly also. They have the cap space for the base ELC and can make the space for the bonuses. They have a hole in top 6.

Offer him time with Giroux and Simmonds or Giroux and Voracek. (even though I doubt it's a 100% you got that spot offer).

Hextall can be a shrewd guy in this and might be able to sneak in and steal him.

Wouldn't surprise me if they get to talk to him,
But nothing u said really offers more than say NYR, NYi, NJ, etc

Maybe I'm just being a homer here,
But we've gotten to talk to him the most and he's liked what he's heard
Plus,
He's been able to get the "real" scoop from Jack

I think it's gonna be Buffalo, Chicago, Pitt, or possibly Boston if he really just wants to play for the home team

They shouldn't be on anyone's list...
Yet

They need this year for them to go like last year for us
Andersen helps, a lot

2yrs out I think they can make a legit run at JT

I'm sure it cost a bundle
But they'll be able to turn it into super nice condos

If I were a Sabre, I'd definitely consider living there

I bet a bunch of Bills will too
Especially when the stadium gets built downtown
(btw, this is gonna happen. just a matter of time)

Hahahahaha!
Well played sir

Any word on a new coach for u guys?
How do U feel about Roy leaving?

- jdfitz77

bittersweet with Roy leaving, I wanted him to be the coach, and curious to see if he would change this tactics, but clearly he wasnt willing to so its good hes gone but will miss him being part of the organization.

New coach is up in the air, some teams are willing to let the Avs talk to their assistants, some said get lost. Ducks have let them talk to McLean, which I would be ok with.

I really want Dineen though,

NYR are going to slide with King Henrik aging
NYI's arena is a joke for hockey
NJ well we've seen the arguments against them and I'm not going to get a vacation
PITT has cap issues

He should know Hakstol's style from college playing against them in the Frozen Four.
My view might also be homerish but Philly has timed the rebuild perfectly for their division. Those D prospects are going to be arriving in the next 3 seasons and then it's all about the final piece. Sell him that he's it!

hes a U of Denver alumni, so he could be interested in coming back to Denver. There is a connection to the area for him which could get him to leave the Hawks

Resturaunt on the top floor (and roof during the summer), observation deck on the roof, condos on the next 5 floors, hotel on the next 10, office space for the next 5-10, grocery store on the bottom 2 floors.

If we could get half of those things it would be a win.

He can play w good players anywhere that's recruiting him
What do u have that sways him over his hometown, the Cup champs, or playing on another up & coming team with his good bud?

I just don't see any reason that Philly stands out above the rest

score.com has him meeting with islanders, rangers, penguins, leafs, devils.

Wings out.

This suggests Chicago also out.

I think Leafs have cap issues, like pens.

It's over for the rags, and the devils have nothing but a goalie and Hall, who would play in front of Vesey.

Islanders are a little further ahead of us. But they let go of one of their primary players, and guess who signed him??

I can explain away anything.

They could definitely do a ton with that building
I'm surprised it's taken so long to get developed
With everything happening DT, this is perfect timing for them though

If they have Fleury they don't have cap room for ELC with max bonus structure.

Dupuis is still counting towards their cap (3.75m) so they will LTIR him. I can see them trying to move Kunitz and his 3.85m cap (last year of contract) if they really need to make cap space this season. Those contracts are gone next year, as well as the Scuderi retained cap, so thast 8.7m opening up. Could absorb some bonus money in that

He's the obvious choice
They could make other moves though to get under the Cap

I think Vesey will only count for about 1mil on this year's Cap
I believe the bonuses wouldn't get figured in until next year, bc for this year there's no way to tell which performance bonuses he'd hit & which he wouldn't
So they'll have time to figure out the needed Cap space
