yes i lived there before the fence fire fiasco and worked in midland....a little hamlet of about 300 that explodes to 5000 on long weekends...i'd have the beach basically to myself until long weekends and then I would leave for the city for some peace and quiet.....go figure

When my wife was growing up, her family would rent the same little cottage on the beach for 3 weeks every summer, so it's a magical place for her.

For about 5 years we were renting a cottage about 10-20 cottages south. It was a fantastic place. But then the couple that owned the place got divorced and sold the place, so we haven't been back for a few years.

Poop, I miss it. The jogging there was fantastic - you could run on that snowmobile trail all the way into Penetang and back. I once did 131 km in a week there. And had to jump over a Massassauga rattler that was sunning itself!

Oh, and the drive in theatre is also fun.

I just had to confirm my delivery address, so "soon."

The Leafs always send it out by Purolator, so I get home and find the little notice taped to my door. I immediately hop in the car, drive down to the depot on the Lakeshore and get my package. There's always about 50 guys like me, drooling and ripping open the box to see what the gift is (which has been pretty crappy the last few years).
