some "guys" in here feel the need to be negative on other people's comments, like you... a lot of hypocrites who think their own jokes/ comments are worthy, someone else cracks a joke and all of a sudden he's not one of the "locals" so, you know, he can't be given any latitude for his humour...

personally, people can write whatever they want, but when they give negativity, or try and harass me for what I write, well, I like to give just a little back once in awhile.

There you go again, I streer the topic back to hockey and you make a seemingly neutral post quoting me, but throw a little shade in it as well. You are nothing but a petulant child. Piss off kindly please.

I use to get involved with the arguing, but took it out of my repertoire . We come here to discuss things, keep on top of Canuck/ hockey issues, and to joke around. It is not worth the arguing and getting all wound up. Ignore .

Not only will it keep your blood pressure down , but it will make it bearable for the rest that come here to chum around.

I am not pointing out anyone because I know I use to get in more arguments than anyone. So as a vet I will say let it go.

So who on the Canucks backend is in the top 60 defenseman?
Who's in the top 90?

Lols...
Who's being negative now?

There are no Canucks d men in the top 60 in the league. Jk. Edler when he wants to be physical can be a top 30 d man, but if his back is acting up he's only top 90. Tanev is top 120.

Don't know and don't really care.

I am hoping for Juolevi to be a very good Dman and Stecher.

Tryamkin has potential and I know what Gudbrandson brings. Tanev is a steady guy and Edler is Jekyll Hyde.

As long as everyone does their job and play well together then rankings mean nothing to me.

Any wagers that Jimmy Vesey accomplishes diddly-squat this season, regardless of which team he ends up signing with?

I forgot about Gudbranson, I'd say he's top 90.

Canucks D needed change ( Hamhuis included) . It's what they do going forward not what they have done before

Agreed.

especially after last season's trade deadline fiasco. though, if the nux weren't going to sign hamhuis, they should have made known their intentions much earlier.

just poor, on the asset mgm't front and this is where they embarrass themselves.

I'm looking forward to Juolevi being a legit top pairing guy, who hopefully doesn't get back spasms like Edler, or injured regularly like Salo.

We don't know what happened at TDL . 10 days before Hamhuis hadn't agreed to even waive.

About two weeks before free agency Canucks told Hamhuis he could talk to other teams. It seems about the same timeline Canucks were given.

You should have asked him to define "locals" so we knew what he was talking about.

I don't know if this is an open question, but I'd say Tanev and Edler are easily in the top-90. Beyond them, I don't think anyone else is in that conversation. Hutton could take some more steps and Tryamkin could do some good things, but neither really strikes me as breakout candidates. I see Gudbranson somewhere around 110-130.

Big year for him. If he can make some strides offensively and continue to improve in his own end he'll be moving up the ranks.

Definitely is. With it also being a contract year, I hope he can pull it off. I just can't call him top 90 currently.

I'm looking forward to seeing him in a Canucks uniform. Nice to know they got some formidable size & grit back there with him and Tree.

I think he is what he is offensively. Maybe a couple more goals one year or the next. But I think Vantel has mentioned it. He's Willie Mitchell 2.0 a more physical version.

Having a player that well liked amongst is teammates is invaluable as well.

All I'm hoping for this year is good signs. From our new #1 line, to the continued improvement of the kids. 2017 looks to be a year where they could surprise a bit:

Boeser
OJ
(Assuming Sedins continue to age gracefully)

Don't forget 2017 is also the year Canuck Nation invades Vegas.

if he's slick willie 2.0, then he's a steal for McCann and whatever else we gave up for him....
