This is 100% true, but he would explode even better if Vesey signed with the Leafs. He would write a blog that says tampering so many times that even the word jorts will have more meaning.

It's probably because of the "All in youth movement" the Leafs have going on.

Would it so bad to still have JVR on the team @ 32 years old in 5 years? I think he'd fit right in for the Leafs when the young guys have matured.

Not really tho..

Depends what they get back... A good prospect or a 2nd + Fowler is pretty good return.

JVR just doesnt fit the mold of this team. His value will only decrease the more he plays. Leafs have a logjam of forwards and if they can use him to get rid of a bad contract aswell as add a good defenceman.. Vesey wouldnt replace JVR (probably), but he might be a decent fill in guy until Nylander can take over..
