Leafs don't have room for any more forwards. If for some reason he does sign with the Leafs then I'd have to imagine more moves would be coming. Dominoesssss. But in all reality I don't think Vesey is a need and he's over hyped. I'm okay with either happening I guess.

for a free college player....yes.
I know people dump on Bozak, but he didnt cost a draft pick and has averaged 35- 49 pts each year.
Which is more than most late first round picks. - Fakepartofme
I'm not a huge fan of Bozak but this is 100% correct.
Anytime you get an undrafted player that turns into a Bozak, it's a huge win.

If he signs great, if he doesnt....cool.
Obviously the leafs have something in the works if he signs.
Vesey is young forward with several years of control.....he's a need a for any team.
For a team rebuilding, he could be an even bigger need.

Agreed. I won't be upset either way. I'm sure Sabres fans will still think I'm fuming with rage and depression if he signs elsewhere tho. Le sighhh

God that's sad.
Too bad for Geoffrion and the weird injury that ended his career... I think he could have had a career in the NHL... not a great one but as a 3rd/4th liner sure.

Has absolutely nothing to do with him or what his potential could be.
Certainly can understand the logic behind each team's interests and suggested odds, but can't understand the suggestion that Vesey is a top-6 guy. He may evolve to that someday, but to expect that now is a huge stretch. The nice thing is that his ELC will be the same for every interested team. Essentially he's a free draft pick of a player who can hopefully jump into your line-up. Low risk, potentially good reward.

He probably wont sign with a team until Weds/Thurs.
All this hype over nothing due to a slow summer . What's so great about Vesey? He won the hobey Baker, big whoop. Looking at his numbers he's nothing special. Daniel Carr had better college numbers when the habs signed him and no one batted an eye. Carr's okay but he had to go through two AHL seasons first, what makes you think Vesey will jump in a be the top left winger on an NHL team? All these teams fighting for a 3rd liner at best

Its same knowledge the analyst and scouts use on all draft picks.

All this knowledge about Vesey.
I didn't know you watched college hockey that much! Your insight is very much appreciated.
I don't agree with the premise that they don't really need Vesey. I think he is a better fit as a top six winger than Komarov and is retainable for much of his 20's. JVR and Komarov are UFA's in two years. - mikeinbuffalo
