If he really wanted to sign in Buffalo he Wild of already. Stop with the he wants to speak to other teams first BS.

He won't sign in Buffalo because that is where you sign if you do not want to win. Great fanbase, but they lose, always, in everything (football and hockey). I just don't see that as an appealing option to a young player when he has other options available. Toronto has a long ass losing streak as well but lets face it, its Toronto, a hockey-mania city. Rangers, Devils & Boston are in his preferred location on the East coast so they are options clearly. Should be interesting to see. I could be wrong about Buffalo but I would just think with the other options available, I didn't even mention Pitt or CHI (power houses), its almost a no brainer to me that he would not choose Buffalo and sign elsewhere.

In Toronto he can play with his BFF Mathews and grow with an up an coming team.

Gotta wait until next summer for him to be able to sign a extension. Even if they could why offer a 5 year deal to a 23 year old rookie who hasnt played a second of pro hockey at all.
