I like Franson more than that. I think he gets a bad rap, he's pretty much always put up the stats of a first line player. His shot suppression and possession numbers are always 1st line worthy at least. The fact that he shots right and can run a PP is even better.
I still maintain he's one of the most underappreciated, quietly excellent players in the NHL. And he's better than Cam Fowler by a degree that is hard to express without sounding hyperbolic.

Elite D usually play against the other team's elite....but JG had a good year I'll give him that....elite's a bit of stretch since he was yanked off the ice in all the tough situations.
