The proper phrase is "couldn't care less" btw

lol.

Deflection. STFU.

You would not be that bad if your gimmick was to try and be funny instead of trying to create a rise out of everyone.

As far as Vesey to the Sabres goes, 60% of the time he signs here every time.
- Pierceme69

Skjei will be a temendous help.

Staal and Girardi are the real wild cards. Supposedly, management believes both their subpar seasons were the result of going deep 2 years in a row and they both had surgeries last offseason that didn't heal in time for camp. So they think with this longer summer and no surgeries that they will both bounce back. We'll see.

Las Vegas Rattlers

Las Vegas Silver Knights

Las Vegas Aces

In case anyone cared as to the names being talked about.

- SABRES 89

Not going to be Aces. Or Knights, unless they can work something out with London. Aces denotes gambling and the league doesn't want that and anything Knights is too close to the London Knights(that's why Black Knights was out, that and West Point).

I like Rattlers. Black Aces would be cool too. It's got the hockey reference about the players that practice with the team during the playoffs but don't play. It's also the nickname of VFA-41 a Navy strike squadron off the Stennis. And you know the NHL loves the military thing. But they really don't like the gambling reference.

I like the moves they made up front, but they really need to re-tool that defense to be cup contenders.
- chilliard77

They aren't top 5 in the east today.

I get All this - old news, came out about 3 weeks ago. What I don't get is the NYR and cup contender in the same sentence. They had a god run, but that run is over. It's Buffalo's turn it be cup contenders. Probably not this year, but soon
- turbo044

It's buffalo's turn the same way it's supposed to be edmontons for the past 3 seasons and the islanders since they drafted Tavares.

No, but they should be pretty good this year. Love the coaching change.
- chilliard77

They have the same odds for winning the cup as the Rangers on two betting sites that I just checked.

Not a shot at you, just an exercise that I wanted to share with the recent UB grad.

Down years cannot be used as a justification when trying to broadcast future success.

Edit: "Well these guys didn't do well last year and now they'll be better." As players get over 30 they often times begin to or become get less effective. You have a few that have started to tail off.

2 more: very old. And if you're comparing the sabres rebuild to how EDM and NYI attempted to do it, you don't know hockey All that well. Didnt the NYI advance farther in the playoffs than the NYR last year, btw?

You should be...shortly. I think the games will be much more fun to watch this year...especially starting to take it to a few (Toronto )

Trade Kane and Bogo for a bag of pucks and I'm excited moving forward. His name is Jack Eichel...he shoots and he scores.

Then the NHL backed off. They were very against anything related to gambling.

One, through my wife's family and this article that came out today about Chi, nyr and nj being the top 3 and bos/buf being out is garbage, pure guesswork. I honesty don't think Jimmy 100% knows what he's doing yet. I do know he's extremely comfortable with the idea of playing/living.with jack/Sam. Hometown pull has me more worried than it has in the past. I have no worries About nyr nj as a destination

Maybe they shouldn't have put a team here, those names I mentioned were being talked about before they were made public in the local paper here.

I heard Black Knights from the very beginning. And only recently when they started applying for trademarks did they run into trouble and that's straight from Foley's mouth. And the NHL has been very anti-gambling.

Rangers and Bruins are sliding downhill fast.

Having Dan Girardi and Marc Staal as two of the top 4 D men isn't cup contending.
