Glass half full:
Matthews is Sundin 2.0++
Marner produces like Patrick Kane
Nylander is a 70 point guy
Zaitsev steps in as a solid top 4
Anderson steals us a few wins we don't deserve
One of Leivo/Kapanen/Brown/Soshnikov/Lindberg/Bracco becomes a top 6 forward

Glass half empty:
Matthews tops out as a second liner
Marner's fancy crap doesn't work at all in the NHL
Nylander plays scared like he did after the concussion
Zaitsev is a bust
Anderson no better than Reimer
Leivo/Kapanen/Brown/Soshnikov/Lindberg/Bracco all busts

I am a glass half full guy but scared as hell the glass is half empty

on the goaltending front... Andersen doesn't need to a hero... he just needs to NOT be Bernier.... starting out every game behind by a goal before you break a sweat was a non-starter for Babcock.

I don't think we should count on Matthews being as good a Sundin... and hopefully the Leafs other highly rated youth will provide him with a decent winger while he's young enough to take advantage of it.

Great read Lucas,

I think the buds are going to surprise us, I'm not saying they are heading to the finals this year but I feel they are actually going to make the playoffs,,first round of course. Im looking forward to this season, I can assure you every game is going to be a fight from the leafs and they will not allow them self's to be a easy team to beat. I love some of the changes like Martin, Anderson and of course I cant wait to see Nylander,Matthews and Marner develope.. IM so PUMPED this year...first time since well ever
