My question is why? The guy is playing pro in Sweden in one of the top leagues. He's got good stats and a good squad and has been argued as one of the best goalies outside of the NHL. We have a log jam in the AHL where he would be fighting for playing time. Let him refine his game a little more and hopefully he's the next big thing out of Sweden. - toult
because he's playing less than 30 games a year on a big ice surface. get him over here, get him playing more, and get him used to a smaller ice surface. I think the ice surface has a more drastic effect on goalies than any other player on the ice due to the fact that the angles are so different. I personally think he's passed Dreidger on the depth chart, so bring him over, let him and O'Connor split the games in the AHL and send Dreidger to the ECHL. |

Im on board with bringing prospects over that are ready to make the leap to North American play but not sure this kid's even ready for that
His stats aren't that impressive compared to O'Connor or Driedger, pretty much on par or worse

Just saying...
I also think some team is going to get a great deal on Enroth this year, he's still available and wayyyy undervalued IMO |

I don't know how people feel about the team but the x-factors for me are pretty clear; it has to do with players looking to prove their contracts / resurgence years.
I'm confident in Stone, Turris, Karlsson, Methot, Ceci, Pageau, Lazar and others who will perform their roles. I think Turris is really underrated and played the same mins as I Stamkos and I think was somewhere between 20th-25th in ice time among forwards if I'm not mistaken. He also had 13 goals, 28 points in his first 36 games; just a few games more after having his leg go through a hell.
I think Brassard and Turris are set down the middle. It's the 4 wingers - Mac, Ryan, Stone, and Hoff - who are TBD. I think Ryan and Hoff together allows a Stone to slot in with either center for a great 1-2 punch. Mac, Ryan, Phanuef, and Hoff are the x-factors. They all got big cap hits and have to show they were worth the investment. |

brassard needs to play with ryan so you can have the left shot center play with Ryan. personally I would go
hoff - brass - ryan
mac - turris - stone
the rest I agree with....although I'd love for them to find a way to get Paul and puempel into the lineup (rather than one or the other)..........stupid neil taking up a roster spot. |

I would like to see the following lineup :
Hoffman – Brassard – Ryan
Paul – Turris – Stone
Macarthur – Pageau – Lazar
Smith – Kelly – Neil
Spare : Dzingel, McCormick, Puempel
Methot – Karlsson
Phaneuf – Ceci
Chabot – Wideman
Spare : Borowiecki – Englund
Andreson -
Hammond -
And if Paul cant play with Turris and Stone you put either Mac or Puempel

- @ Sens Army
I'm thinking the same, my biggest X factor (besides a better overall team defensive system) for Sens success in 2016/17 is the play & chemistry between Brass and Bobby.
on the line combos.
- @ Shanep22
I like Nick Paul as a prospect, but I'm not confident he's a top 6 NHLer. At 6'4" 225 Lbs he's got good size & decent speed. I think he tops out as a #3 LW/C. But at 21 he's got a few more years to progress. |

Sens army and prince, good posts.
This one too; Boucher likes the 'pack mentality" towards defense but what the new assistant coach said on montreal radio was that Stamkos and St. Louis were stacking up points with him.
So... if Brassard can find chemistry with either Stone or Ryan ...then you got two solid lines. For some reason the combo I don't want to see is Mac + Ryan together. |

Oh the old lineup charts. August is in full swing.
It will be interesting to see what Brassard does. I really hope he is able to improve the powerplay. This team has been missing a puck distributor every since Spezza left. If he is able to provide that, we should see an improvement offensively. I agree with a couple of posters that Paul is kind of a wild card. Same can be said for Puemple. If one of them can get it going in the NHL it adds another dimension. Personally, I'd like to see a more seasoned player brought in, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.
Something has to be done about the 5/6 defence pairing though. I do feel you can roll with just 4 guys and be successful (Chicago shows that on an annual basis) but it would be nice to have insurance in case someone goes down with injury. Would hate to see Boro or Wideman put in top 4 roles if one our top 4 were to go down. |

For me i would reunite the Motor line ,and slot Stone and Hoffy with Brassard
