Well yesterday was movies, so today will be TV. What are your all time favorite TV series?

Mine are:

Game of Thrones
Rarely are fantasy novels adapted well to the small screen, but this show just hits it out of the park. It's beautifully shot, extremely well written and the cast, especially Peter Dinklage are just tremendous.

Dexter
The last season was just meh, but prior to that, it was amazing

The Walking Dead
This show just keeps getting better, can't wait to find out who met Lucille up close and in person.

Top 3
Highlander:The Series
Supernatural
Angel

second 3
GOT
The Walking Dead
Star Trek TNG

I really enjoyed Dexter for about the first 4 seasons. Then after he killed that group of guys who were enslaving then killing the women and got away with it, I actually started to get annoyed at how he kept escaping and didn't bother to pick it up after that.

Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Falling Skies, Arrow, The Flash, and about 20 others could make a list. We are in the Golden Era of TV right now.

#1: Highlander. Adrian Paul is flat-out better than Christopher Lambert, and the storylines are amazing, as is the acting. I cried 3 times during the run of this series.

#2: The Adventures of Brisco County Junior. My introduction to his lordship Bruce Campbell. This show was both before and after its time. It's a pretty intricate plot, the cast is great, is full of well-worked references (i.e. donuts by a man named Duncan), and has a perfect mix of humor and action.

#3: The Simpsons. I mean, come on.

Just missed: Game of Thrones and Firefly

Give me Patrick Stewart or nothing.

Edit: He's my wife's favorite actor, and I actually took her to the TNG 25th anniversary convention to meet him. She got a great picture with him, and for 2 people who are notoriously not photogenic, it's earned a place in our living room. He's actually a very nice man, and was upset to find out that he had no Viking blood in him.

A man after my own heart. Daltry as Fitz, Callas, The Horseman, Methos, Amanda and on and on. Amazing characters and writing. Especially from the second half of season one all the way to the end.

Let me guess:

1. When Darius died
2. When Fitz died
3. When Duncan meets Tessa in the alternate reality
4. When Ritchie dies

Nope.
1. When Tessa died - Duncan goes to save her, she and Ritchie die, only for Ritchie to be revived while Tessa dies in his arms.
2. When Charlie died - Only the second mortal that we see Duncan the truth to, and again, dies in his arms learning that he couldn't have killed the man who murdered his wife.
3. When Ritchie died - should be explanation enough.

Darius had such an early death, and you didn't actually get to see it. Fitzcairn, although a great character, kind of died with a smile, knowing it was coming, and knew Duncan would avenge him. The Tessa alternate reality was sad, but more of a, "Wow, your life sucks" as opposed to weeping sad.

All candidates....I think when Ritchie died it was the worst. The whole circumstance was just brutal. And Duncan's (Paul's performance) reaction was unbelievable. Joe bawling....it was hard to watch.

It was definitely tough to watch. I think it upset my wife worse than me.

You know, they almost didn't get renewed for Season Six, and that would have been how the series ended. I've actually never seen the other half of that episode, but, obviously, he wins.

The first 3 or 4 episodes of season 6 were great. Then they went off in search of a spinoff character, until the two part finale.

No love for The Shawshank Redemption?

As for TV, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Shades of Blue with Jennifer Lopez I enjoyed as well.

Rumor has it, Lucille hits a 2 run homer in the first ep this upcoming season. Another twist to diverge from the comics

Shawshank Redemption, A Few Good Men, and A League of Their Own are 3 movies that I always watch when they're on (Independence Day comes in here, too). But they're not my favorites. Personally.

This is my list as well and in this exact order.

As much as I love the Wire (I'd pay real currency to go out drinking with Bunk and McNulty), I just can't put it over The Sopranos.

I hate watch TWD at this point. It's been demoted to DVR viewing.

And I wouldn't be surprised if they kill off two people.
