If Rangers can sign Vesey, it would make Nash more expendable. Even with your internal budget, trading Fowler would mean a 3.8 million difference for next 2 seasons... Could probably get Rangers to retain some salary..let's say 1.8, would you sign him as a FA for 2 years at 2m per?... he would be perfect fit on top line. Forget last season, he was out awhile with leg injury and wasn't 100% when he came back. Had 40 goals 2 seasons ago... |

This has to be the first pre training camp domino. The forward situation is set. This is a coachable group, but can Carlyle keep them focused?
The word is Hampus Lindholm is getting a long term deal and Rickard Rakell is getting a bridge. Where's the (frank)in money Lebowski? I kid. I kid.
With the expansion draft, the emergence of Shay Theodore and the cap situation it looks like Fowler is on his way out. I hate to say it, and I hooed and ha'd a couple months ago, but the writing is on the wall. If this is a playoff team, the time is now to let Theodore step in. With the expansion draft, Bob will probably be eyeing picks for Fowler.
Hindsight: Clayton Stoner's contract isn't good. $3.25m for a fringe guy. Boll's going to drop the gloves. Throwing darts. |
