Anybody catch the guy with the Bills flag on NBC? Who takes a Bills flag to the Olympics?
- Wetbandit1

It doesn't shock me. Whoever it was became a local celebrity when he brought it behind Mike Tirico during the daytime coverage yesterday. Of course, the local media ate it all up...as if he was the only die hard fab of an NFL down in Rio.

Look on ebay/craigslist to see what they're going for. Unfortunately plasmas don't go for much.

Did you search the exact model number? Take it to a pawn shop, or just take a pic of the panel with the info on it, and have them do the work for you. They'll tell you how much it's worth, and then offer you 30% of that, but at least you get the value, and it'll be on the low end, so if it's in good shape you can add a few bucks.

Yeah I tried the model number, couldn't find much of anything. I may just give it to my mom.

Yeah, that's probably way more than you'd be able to get. Unless it's only like a year old.

My roommate has a 10 year old Panasonic plasma and it still looks great. For only being 720p.

LCD/LED, rear projection, and plasma TV's don't last nearly as long as tube TVs though. You're lucky to get about 7,000 good hours out of an LED/LCD and about 10,000 out of a plasma. Those are oldish numbers, and I'm sure they've gotten a bit better the past few years with the OLEDs and such, but I had a cheap, for the time it was still $1,000, LCD that got less than 5,000 before it started ghosting and discoloring on the right half of the screen and a few burned out pixels. It really depends on how you use it. Gaming will generally drastically reduce longevity due to stationary images. Even more so in plasmas as burn-in is a bigger problem.

How old is it? It is Samsung, so it'll be worth more than a Vizio, but they've, TVs in general, come so far down in price like the clown said that you're not going to get a lot out of a used one. I bought a $550 Westinghouse to fill the gap until I could afford a new TV because of the aforementioned kicking of the bucket of my old LCD TV that a year later I was only able to get $120 for it.

Depends on how bad you want to get rid of it. I'll say you're lucky to get $50 for it and if it's sitting taking up space, it would be worth it to me to get rid of. I'd ask for $50 and take $40. I love writing up an old appliance or something I'm trying to sell on Craigslist. Say it was really reliable and would make good use for someone who just moved in to an apartment or for a play room where kids can play games on or watch dvd's. 60% of the time it works every time!
