14-15 he has a regular season with a 2.53 GAA and a .911 SV% in 45 games. He did have 6 shutouts. Made the playoffs.
15-16 he had a 2.70 GAA and a .916 SV% in 51 games. Only 1 shutout. No playoffs.

Miller was brought in to shore-up the goaltender position. For 27th place? You don't need ryan miller to get you to 27th place. Now, as you have pointed out, canucks probably won't get much for him on a trade. Someone said a 7th round pick?

So miller really didn't do much for this club in the two regular seasons. Didn't do much in the playoffs when given the opportunity. And now that he's approaching the end of his contract he's basically worthless as trade bait. Now how was this a good signing?

If JB had to sign Miller then I wish he would have done it for 2 years, not 4. Markstrom had 33 starts last season so he's capable of handling more this season I think.

As for the pile of sh!t. I just don't like his smart-ass attitude. What a miserable (frank)ing goat.

Took you awhile to respond His numbers are impressive given how pathetic our defense was. Also, Markstom wasn't ready to be a starter (he may still not be) and a veteran was needed. All it cost us was cap space. He was also signed for 3 years not 4. He has served his role adequately and there was nothing wrong with the signing unless of course you wanted a full tank. It's not Millers fault the team was devastated by injuries last year.

I think playoffs are what management is aiming for but I think it's more of a competitive atmosphere that JB is looking for.

With all these additions, it will be miles more competitive for roster spots compared to last. And if injuries strike, I think the team has some guys that can contribute.

It seems to me the message isn't clear but the direction is. Does that make sense?

I'm not sure that the line up is more competitive than last year.

This year we have Rodin, Grenier, Gaunce, Etem, Virtanen and maybe Zalewski competing for 4 spots.

Last year we had McCann, Vey, Cracknell, Grenier, Kenins competing for 2 spots

This year we have Tryamkin, Larsen, Beiga, Pedan competing for 3 spots.

Last year we had Corrado, Hutton, Beiga, Pedan, Weber, Fedun competing for 2 spots.

If anything I would say last year was more competitive because there were more guys vying for less spots.

As far as depth we are more or less the same as well. Maybe even worse, we have very few guys with much pro experience down on the farm.

Yes, life gets in the way of HB sometimes.

Miller wasn't brought in as a veteran presence. Not at $6M per. He's was paid to be a difference maker and he was not. He has not served any role adequately.

How do you make a distinction between "full tank" and the 27th place finish the canucks actually had? The end result is exactly the same.

Yes, 3 years not 4. You actually made my day.

What is it between you, ASL, and kaptaan? Or have you explained this to me already? You can give him the troll treatment and put him on mute.

Unless you like the banter. It is kind of funny.

You're so (frank)ing positive it drives me nuts.

But you had a freakout not too long ago about something the canucks didn't do but I can't remember exactly what. I think you are trying to convince yourself that all will be ok. You're in for a hard landing.
