They didn't trade for below market value. The trade market dictates itself. It just so happens that every team is looking for defenseman. They are worth more than forwards. I guarantee you that Larsson will have a greater impact on the Oilers and a potential playoff run.

My point is it has nothing to do with jealousy, as the guy was crying about.

If I had to choose one dman to build my team around, it's Drew Doughty. He's the best dman in the league, easily.

My personal opinion is that any team with Erik Karlsson as their number one dman will never win a cup. he sacrifices way too much defense for his points. That's my opinion.
