It's ridiculous. Hopefully he dials back his shtick now that he's gotten a warning.

differences between teams really aren't that big.
i'm saying just making the playoffs, not making chance to win SC

If price is healthy, Montreal is probably a playoff team.
- Tumbleweed

Agree. Montreal has done somethings to improve their offence and lets say the defence is even but goal will be the deciding factor. It makes you wonder if he should be playing for Team Canada in September.

fair enough... everything would have to go right tho

i am not as optimistic due to the fact i dont see as many kids as some do on the roster

lupul, michalek, bozak, greening, laich, and martin will make up half the forward corps

then you add komarov, jvr, kadri, matthews, marner, and nylander (the last 3 being rookies) and all of sudden there is your 12 forwards

i think a lot will be moved out at the deadline and thats when i see the kids getting their real ice time

I wouldn't be surprised if one of Sosh, Leivo or Brown also finds their way on the team. Sosh already had some chemistry with Kadri and Komarov, Brown was almost ppg for his short stint, and this may be Leivo's donor die year.

But yea, I doubt we see more than 4 rookies in the lineup.

Still, there is an outside shot this team improves past a bottom-10 finish. Lots of question marks.

thats how i feel

matthews, nylander, marner, and zaitsev

the only way i see one of brown, sosh, or leivo making the team right off the hop is if deals are made (get rid of lupul) or marner is sent back to the knights... which wouldnt shock me... it would stagger nylander's, matthew's, and marner's ELC expirations in consecutive years

i also am not considering the 13th forward here to be fair

yeah i didnt get the ennis comment truthfully... the leafs are easily 2-3 years away from being a serious candidate for the post season... although what Mike was talking about in regards to 1 year is with the exception of lupul, most (very close to all) the bad contracts the leafs are carrying end. it wasnt a reference to when the leafs will be competitive again.
- Dozzer

The Leafs could realistically make the playoffs in 2017-18.

Simply because there's a whole lot of crap in the conference.

I was talking forward rookies - one per line pretty much.

Also forgot to mention Rychel, he could probably step in this season in a bottom-6 role... But they probably will want to develop him more in the AHL for a top-6 one.

Not sure I understand the comparison. Buffalo has some serious NHL talent in their line up. Not sure you can say the same for the Leafs. I like van Riemsdyk and Reilly. But there is not very much after that and I have grave doubts about the winning potential of all the little forwards the Leafs have drafted.

That's not surprising

The leafs are probably a year behind the sabres and the jets are probably ahead of that. But the thing is, cities like buffalo and Winnipeg will have trouble keeping their players and attracting new ones because they are such a dump.

Part of the blame lies with Leafs fans, though.

Why do we constantly take the bait?

i would be ecstatic to see kerby make the team... i do think he starts with the marlies where he can get real ice time and learn the systems before he sees the ice with the leafs... he will be one of the guys who take over for michalek, greening, etc... big bodied power forward

Yup.

Says leafs fans are losers for "summer talk" (still haven't see his evidence) and then turns around and blows his load about how great the sens summer transactions.

Chastises people for pointing out the sens management said "disappointed with chabot camp" because it's a nothing prospects camp, he's going to be a superstar...... Calls mRner wjc camp terrible (cause he was terrible against the fins, who he didn't play against)

But he says he's not a troll and just here to talk hockey peacefully.

He's a joke.

It's funny too because the Sens are probably the biggest tire fire of an organization in the league. Going nowhere, in a hurry.

With the Atlantic being as weak as it is, it wouldn't surprise me to see one of these teams qualify for the playoffs. Both teams are signficantly better than Ottawa, Detroit and Montreal.
